If they are symmetrical, it could be a shift on you platform. Additional tension should remedy that.

Be sure your filament unspools smoothly - should be as friction-free as you can get it.

I've fixed that too, and it still didn't help. I have a spool rack that's lubed up a bit, it only needs the slightest tug to spin

Lower your extrusion percentages a bit, like 5%

I've tried that, still happens unfortunately. I lowered it to 90% and it looked like it was underextruding, but the bands were still there

I would try a cold pull and then my next step would be to see if it appears in a model with a larger layer height

Hmm, try cleaning your nozzle by bringing it to 260 and blowing a bunch of filament through it

It serves as a way to calibrate a printer, as the features are all designed to test different aspects of a printer.

It's great for calibration! Has a lot of different features on it. If this prints right, you can basically print anything reasonable

What hardware changes can you make to reduce layer overhang or gap? Calibration, leveling, layer thickness... sure. What else?
