This is Leevi
He's a 30% Wolf-Dog hybrid. Besides wolf, hes made up from Malamute, Husky, German Shepherd and White Shepherd.
As a pup
He was really energetic
AND HELLA CUTE
But at nights he kinda got scared I guess, plus had some separation anxiety which he let out by howling, a lot.
Of course, he needed sleep as well
But as you can see, he was small, really small. And scared of a lot of things, we couldnt go closer than 50meters to a road because he was deathly afraid of cars.
He is very loyal but relaxed
He spends most of his days on our yard, lying on top of his house. He just looks at people passing by our house, not even moving. Though if you come on our yard he will come say hi and check you out. People tend to be scared of him because how big he is. Hes never bitten anyone and doesnt even bark, he only howls.
In fact
Howling is the way he welcomes you home, He'll drop down from his house and run up to you howling. Best part? You can howl back at him and he'll respond. Ive gotten some weird looks from my neighbours by doing this.
I miss him :(
Sadly, I moved out of my parents and dont see him that often anymore, I just felt a tinge now and wanted to share these pictures Ive taken of him over time.
I know lots of people have negative images of wolf-dog hybrids and I certainly understand them, they are hard dogs to train and keep. But Leevi is really the most relaxed and nicest hybrid Ive seen. Ive certainly seen a hybrid trying to kill a dog at a dog park, and then biting someone else. It asks a lot from the person bringing them up.

Can.....can I buy him?

That's one beautiful looking dog : )

Adorable dog. I have an aunt who had a 3/4 Timberwolf, 1/4 husky named Dakota. I sure miss Dakota... That was one awesome wolfdog.
Chitamak
It isn't negative images about hybrids, its about the people owning them who don't know how to care for them

My friends been making these jokes ever since we had him :)

I find 30% an odd ratio, since ancestors are binary. 25% or 37.5% (3/8) makes way more sense.

I suppose they did a DNA test, I guess they aren't that accurate. Some of the other dogs could've had a little wolf in them too.

The way the percentage is calculated is really weird, what you said makes more sense.
