Well it's growing in the sense that 70% will be 80% by next year and it was like 50% not even a few years ago. There has been a seismic shift on Israeli sentiment within the Democratic party and even the GOP (though their side can largely be explained by overt antisemitism)
But yes, you should be deeply concerned about the party tripling down on Israel after Kamala arguably blew a win on not stopping the genocide.

Foreign Affairs MENA is Middle East and North Africa - basically the people guiding government policy in the geographic region of Israel. I’ve seen a clip of New York mayor candidates being asked “where would you travel first as the mayor?” Every single one of them said something along the lines of “reinforcing the relationship between us and Israel”, except Mamdani who pointed out that he’s applying to a job to fix problems in New York and he will stay there for the most part. I’ve sometimes thought that the Israel influence on US politics is a bit exaggerated but Jesus Christ, even the question seemed set up for asslicking.

AIPAC was significantly less influential decades ago - since Citizens United, they've ramped up spending significantly. Israel was influential, but that's in large part because the voters - not the politicians - broadly supported Israel. Now there's a disconnect where voters don't but politicians do.
