Experiencing some premature heartache

My dear sweet boy is sick. Like the kind of sick that will need treatment for the rest of his life. He hates his meds but he still purrs while I administer and cuddles with me endlessly.
I’m so grateful for science and our ability to treat and comfort our companions to give them the best lives possible.
It also is setting in that 12 years can pass in the blink of an eye.
I don’t post here much but it kinda feels like screaming into the void when I need to. Thanks for being a void to me. Also make sure to love your pets and take good care of them. ?
