See, the thing is, Musk and Vance aren't overly popular with all of MAGA. People find them off-putting, and they are both bad at public speaking and just acting like normal people. MAGA currently likes them because Trump currently likes them. But without Trump to shore up that acceptance, they will start to be swayed by others in the MAGA movement. If someone is going to take over the cult, they need to have the right level of charisma. And none of them have that.

One of the big ones that I remember got ousted the second Trump came into office was capping insulin at like $35 or something. That was a big step in the right direction for healthcare. But obviosuly, within weeks of Trump taking office, that same insulin is now back up to like $500.

It seems like most people forget that the Dems are a pro-capitalist party. The types of things you are proposing will go against the capitalist system in the US. So when people say that the Dems are the good guys, it's more about being the better option in a country with shitty options. And it needs to be remembered that the US citizens are socially and religiously conservative while also being extremely capitalistic/individualistic in their economic views. Biden was as good as possible.

If the corporate dems were honest, they'd admit they only passed small tweaks to the system under Biden. And this will hold as long as the Democratic Party refuses to stop taking bribes. Types like Bernie and AOC who refuses corporate money are outliers. Groundbreaking transformative bills like Build Back Better Act were proposed. But since margins were thin, the rich just slap some democrat with a wad of cash, and they'd immediately water down or cripple such bills.

Well, the Chips act and Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act were both on track to bring back large amounts of work for the working class. Would have helped reshore large amounts of industrial jobs from overseas. Rebuilt the grid for clean renewable energy, which would have made thousands of new jobs. Helped to start fixing and replacing the USA's infrastructure such as bridges, which will save untold amounts of lives from them collapsing. ->

Biden's Government did a lot, the problem was they never talked about any of it. They did a lot of shit that people would be very happy to hear about, and they never brought it up. The biggest failing of his Government was in their communications department. As they didn't champion their wins.

It's fair, Biden did a lot of good, but could have fought harder for more. And the current Government, if you can even call it a Government, is a shit show. Your frustrations are valid. Left hating corporate dems don't want you to know that they let $15 minimum wage die because of a non-binding ruling by an unelected official they appointed. They killed bill that would've cemented voting rights federally because they didn't want to mark the bill as filibuster proof. They slowly destroyed a bill establishing paid family/medical leave, free community college, free pre-k, and more. And then they have to gall to brag about passing the shameful dregs of once transformative bills.

By they didn't really talk about it, even during the election when both Biden and Harris were running, neither really made big points about it. If it had been Trump, it would have been all he talked about. They seemed to get too distracted about countering Trump that they didn't properly sell what they had achieved while in government.

Infrastructure bill was a step in the right direction. But let's be clear the way government is structured if you play by it's rules solving big picture problems isn't a 4 or even 8 year process. And with half the country voting in "privatize everything no taxes for the rich candidates" getting anything done is impressive
