There have always been "fans" shitting on SNW. There's two kinds of fans that hate Discovery, and which group one falls into says a lot about why: those that also don't like SNW but do like Picard, and those that also don't like Picard but do like SNW.

I always loved how Worf was this big tough Klingon who had to get his ass kicked in every episode to prove the situation was serious. Or he was the simpleton who got told how wrong he was in every meeting.

I feel like people find it edgy to shit on anything new. SNW and Lower Decks have taken Star Trek to a new level, and both are good even if you weren't (maybe *especially* if you weren't) a fan before.

Always felt like Lower Decks and DS9 existed on two ends of the same spectrum. Just both shows showing the lives of everyday Starfleet, and how Starfleet is just like that. You'd think that, of course, ships like Voyager and Enterprise are going to get into shenanigans, because they're exploring uncharted space and all that. But no, that's just Starfleet. It's shenanigans the whole way down. Lower Decks and DS9 are like the support crews, and they're still both dealing with nonstop shenanigans.

Yeah honestly SNW is by far the best new star trek. It *feels* like star trek, and also, unlike discovery, was made by people who appear to have seen star trek before

I have heard it's gotten better, but from a writing standpoint they just keep going in a direction I can best express as "fine show, not star trek". Including messing up things that are literally inexplicable in the star trek universe (ex, romulan warp doesn't use dilithium guys, this is a known factor)
All that said, absolutely agree with love what you love!

A lot of fans refer to each of the series with a three-letter abbreviation (TOS The Original Series, TNG Next Generation, DS9 Deep Space Nine, etc.). Discovery's is DSC and so they call it Star Trek Disco.
