A common hunting tactic is to imitate the prey.

Do rabbits raised with kittens learn to be assholes?
13thDiablo
Jump good
AeldSidhe
Naaaah, he's mocking them. 'Look at me, I'm a bunny. Hurr durr durr."

isnt the normal response to these posts "Hes got a neurological disorder"?
ComicallyLongUsername
Can confirm. I had a pet rabbit when I was a kid, and neighbours got a kitten. Rabbit died years ago. Their cat still hops.
energyTurtle42
That black kitten wanted out of the pen...is there some irony there?
meowatmeplease
OH MY GAWD. HOW CUTE IS THAT

You monster, rabbits don't jump; they HOP.
SunnySarah20
And they also learn lack of personal space, apparently?
crustyblankets
Sterotypes.

No, that's just Edgar,... Edgar is "Special"

Those kittens are just playing. Like any kitten. Yes I'm available for parties.

Kittens raised near snakes learn to slither like snakes
nevergoingtogiveyouupnevergoingtoletyoudown
So why dont animals walk like humans?
annonymouse211
No exaggeration, this is literally the cutest thing I've ever seen, holy shit
DoublevBomb
somejabronie
Cats hiss because they learned it from snakes. I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere but I'm kind of drunk so don't trust me
fireeternal
I wonder if they keep that habbit as they grow up.
DoublevBomb
batlrar
A mix between a cat and a rabbit is actually a cabbit. You must be thinking of hares.
PianoMan2112
*wabbit
PeachPrinny
Had a dog that grew up with a cat, she learned to groom like a cat and did it all her life. Even some of her pups did it. Its possible
fireeternal
Yes! i've seen a youtube video that shows a dog like that, i can´t remember the dogs name tho.
mikeatike
Our male dog did not know to do the leg lift.

I *warned* you, but did you listen to me? Oh, no, you *knew*, didn't you? Oh, it's just a harmless little *bunny*, isn't it?

Its an egg move!!!!!

So why do the rabbits not learn how to walk like cats
ComicallyLongUsername
Rabbits are alpha as shit.
DaisyfromDownunder
And the rabbits learn to be dipshits.
Truhurt
Correction: kittens are jerks and when raised near rabbits will constantly mock them.

VigorousButtstuff
Funny story, my old man lives out in the scrubland in Texas, and when he moved there, he took a couple of the outdoor cats with him.
VigorousButtstuff
Needless to say, they bred. And then the next generation bred. A few generations in and some.. bizarre... recessive traits happened.
VigorousButtstuff
Some were predictable, i.e. one with a snaggletooth(we called him Drac), but others started getting oversized back paws and ears.
iguessihaveto
Fun fact, cats and rabbits actually do really well cross fostered. Both will raise the others babies just fine and SOMEHOW the milk's good.
dirkdragonslayer
I know it's not the same thing, but when I was little my dog raised about a dozen kittens. Followed her in a cute chain.
sookiesmom
Yeah but I've seen a stray mom cat bring her kittens an injured baby bunny to learn to hunt and eat
TheGrubinator
The *really* bizarre thing is that the momma cat doesn't eat the baby buns. If they're not raised with buns, cats will see buns as noms.
MinorityRetort
"rabbits feet" and "cat paws" are fairly difficult to tell apart. A fact shady factories can exploit in an abundance of ferral cat supply.
jesuisgur
So, how are cats at eating carrots ?
Magpiebones
Depressingly, lots of cheap cat food has it alongside corn, wheat and sugar and they are all destroying the cats' health.
saucefordipping29
Interesting fact my two asshole cats like to kill rabbits. They are jerks
TheGrubinator
Not jerks. Just cats. Cats are predators. That's nature.
saucefordipping29
I know. They are pretty good cats. Its just really upsetting to know i take in murderous assholes at night.
tcgl
We had a cat and rabbit that grew up together and were best buddies. Shared a litterbox and everything.

Cat caught a bunny the other day, carried it just like it was a kitten, didn't hurt it at all, even though it was scared shitless
TheGrubinator
Meanwhile, I've seen one of our farm cats carrying *half* of a bunny before. The other half had evidently been devoured.
saucefordipping29
Our cats did the same the other day. Kept carrying it around, only the head was found the next day.
ichosethewrongcollegedegree
How bout spitting some source with them facts bro, helps ya feel
iguessihaveto
We did it a few times when I was a kid. I don't have a link for you.
copperflux
Have you ever milked a cat son? I have nipples can you milk me?
TheGrubinator
Possibly. Male humans *can* lactate.
SolarBunBun
Cabbits when?
ShouldersDeepInAHorse
Wait, cat milk and rabbit milk are equally nutritious across eachother's species?
Amscolie
As a wildlife rehabber, the two main formulas we use are kitten milk replacer and esbilac which is a puppy milk replacer. For any species
YesMyNameIsCalvin
Apparently, our dog brought us some baby rabbits a couple of times, less than 3 weeks old, vet told us to feed them KMR til they were8 weeks
iguessihaveto
Seem to be. Foundlings live just fine. Beats me how, tbh, but I've seen it happen.
kastekannulaps
I have nipples, Greg. Can you milk me?
FungusForge
Raised a cat and duck once. They were great friends. Cat ran away sometime after duck was taken by a flying predator of some kind.
SnowbiWan
Well, apparently it took many many years for our body to adapt, But we all used to be lactose intolerant. (So I've heard)
Nikolai5
The milk is indeed good. http://www.reactiongifs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/mmhm.gif
TheSaucyCrumpet
Meanwhile my cat thinks it's funny to leave leftover rabbit body parts under my bed.
CondescendingCunt
"SOMEHOW"? Bitch please; we humans drink cow's milk, goat's milk, buffalo milk, sheep milk, camel milk, yak milk, horse milk, reindeer milk…
iguessihaveto
Well yeah, but we're omnivores drinking herbivore milk. Cats are obligate carnivores and rabbits are herbivores. It just seems weird that
iguessihaveto
Their milk, designed to nourish the needs of such different offspring, is interchangeable. Cool as hell, but weird.
mdjenkin93
This comforts me knowing that humans aren't the only ones drinking another species milk
RivenX
You can technically breed cats and rabbits together, but it is extremely ill advised since their spines are super fragile.
krpd
Both the baby animals are called kittens as well
ijustneedthistosavethings
No it's not. Rabbit babies are called kits.
thezookeeper
Kitten is another term. There are multiple terms.
ThePornhubTitle
IT'S A FUCKING BUNNY!
MaladaptedMedic
*bun bun
paul289
Yeah, and baby bunnies are called "kits."
ThatShiftyMonkey
isn't baby bunny redundant? like saying baby baby rabbit?
ijustneedthistosavethings
No. Because bunny doesn't mean baby rabbit. Bunny is just an adorable name for a rabbit.
