Don't be a jerk like this guy

So here is a story. I started a job at Walmart, not the most ideal but it put food on the table for me and my kids. I worked in the craft department and was pretty good at it. One shift 3 people called in sick and I had to cover 3 other departments that I was not familiar with, since I had only been working there for about a month. In a store with about 100,000 products it is difficult to know where and what every single one of those things are, even though customers expect you to. Anyways during this busy shift I hear the manager page me to pick up a call. The closest phone was at the hardware desk a department I was covering. I was stopped twice by two customers demanding help and assured them I would be right there after I grabbed the call. I make my way to the desk and before I can get to the phone a man standing in front of the paint brushes looked at me and barked "CORNER BRUSHES!" I said “are you looking for corner brushes?" he rolled his eyes at me like a douche bag and said "yes do you have any" ok. So at the time I had no idea wtf one was. I assumed it was a paint brush that you used for corners? I said “I am not to sure what a corner brush is but I would think if we carried them they would be with the paint brushes. I have to grab this call and help 2 waiting customers but I will find someone to help you as soon as I can" I grabbed the call and wrote something down the customer on the phone wanted me to look for and rushed back to the other waiting customers and helped them, then I found a manager to come back with me to help the corner brush dude. When we got there he was gone but a corner brush along with this lovely note was waiting for me.

The note says "very sorry to have woken you up from your apparent slumber but I was in a hurry to find a corner brush, and was hopping to be pointed into the right direction. This is what a corner brush looks like. And there is an abundance of them on the 4 foot, with the rest of the brushes, $5.98. Stop dreaming of a better life, with a better job, and wake up. Do a better job of what you are doing now! Thanks

People, please do not do this to strangers you do not know. To take the time to humiliate and belittle someone you do not know for something very minor is a real shitty thing to do and says more about you then it does me. And for the fact that I actually did tell him where they would be, and when I spoke to him he was standing directly in front of them seemed to have left his brain while writing this lovely letter. I carried this note in my wallet for 5 years. I have never told anyone about it. I don't know why I carried it with me so long. But today I decided to share
