I have come a long, long way since this post. I am currently finding all the stuff on have written on this site about my recovery and collecting it in a favorites folder called "My Life in Memes". I will update this when it's completed with a link.

I did EMDR to treat PTSD (not combat related) for a year. I am better! Find a therapist that you trust. You can do this.

Encourage him to cal the Veterans Crisis Line (1-800-273-8255, press 1 for Veterans). They can make sure he gets the help he needs.

You should check out the PTSD treatment center in Cincinnati. It's through the VA. Supposedly we're the best around.
