#4 has some major structural beam damage. MAJOR.
SenseiTheDefender
Whoever planned that route is likely fired… unless the truck driver ad libbed
PanNonOpticon
It cleared the first bridge. And totaled the second one.
DukePhelan
What happens to the truck driver in these incidents? They aren't criminally charged for an accident or anything right? To error is human
Mscott9004
We had a similar accident in Colorado on I-25. Tore the concrete beam apart.
YannC
Is... is the CAT going to be OK?

That overpass will have to be closed and repaired. Looks like it was just recently redone. Perhaps that is part of the problem.
LordQuorad
Wow. They seem to have hit the second bridge only. I wonder how they managed to do that?
Thorbane
Might have been lower clearance on the second one.
imnotyourmum

You're tall, not small! Standard box trucks are 13'6" high. Read bridge signs and STOP if your cargo or vehicle are too tall!

Knowing bridge maintenance in this country, they'll just slap some paint on it and ignore it for another decade....

There are navigation apps that prevent this sort of thing….
Apps cant help if it was not loaded & height checked by the driver.
TheGreatAtomsk
there are road signs that, if followed, would prevent that!

The bridge clearly states how high the clearance is.
Should have stated it louder.
Slugsie
How Clarence, high are you?
Sign says that bridge was 16' 3" & commercial trucks height limit is 13' 6"
rshini
sometimes they're not updated when the roads are repaved (which adds height over time)
Not sure for highways, but city roads grind down the pavement to ensure they don't have to readjust curbside to tolerance.
