I heard that they used mainly older rockets that would have been disposed anyway (because they can't be stored infinitely).
They also used up relative new rockets that are in production since about a year. Which is not a bad idea as production is still ramping up and if there are problems, now is the time to find out (before you build and pay for thousands of problematic expensive rockets).
