42 airplanes destroyed, --42--? At towel day?

3 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

did bibi even say thank you?

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yep, america will lose more planes and lives if bombing starts again. The thing that folks like OP miss is the tyrant king doesnt care. It pisses him off when his flunkiea fail him by letting new coverage thatmakes him look bad gets out, but the actual cost and deaths involved are meaningless.

And dont forget, he HATES the military, deapises them. He went to a military academy and never went on to the military. I know those ppl, no one hates the military more.

Why? Trump is mind-numbingly STUPID, that's why.

I assume Wimp Lo is his Secretary of Negotiating and Wars n Stuff.

Don’t forget about the midair collision between two navy jets over idaho at an airshow. The DOW justifies this spending as “flexing our muscles” during a time of war so it needs to be included in the cost of the war.

3 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

"flexed our muscles" -> "hyper extended our muscles, gonna need a go-fund-me"

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not sure you can equate air force == drones... you don't need an air force to lose planes. I expect most of these were lost due to attacks on military bases by drones and not specifically shot down.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Of course, tRump doesn't care about our loses. They are just losers and suckers, with their replaceable planes [by raising taxes].

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The triton crashed on landing in inclement weather, not really a combat loss

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

The reader must note, that some of the assets where lost in the very beginning. And some where lost/damaged on the ground, not by Iranian AA action, but rather by surface to surface attacks.
Also cases of friendly fire do not quite count towards the point being made.
And drones are expendable, they are deliberately made to perform missions with a risk level above that of manned aircraft. Naturally they sustain losses.

3 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 8

Friendly fire that would not have occurred had we coordinated this with allies. Get real.

3 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 4

The point of the text is "Iran has shitload of AA assets, USA won't bomb it any more". Friendly fire has nothing to do with enemy AA assets. Your sincerely, Cpt Obvious.

Trump can say anything he wants... and the Repubs just cheer him on. It doesn't matter if it's true or a complete reversal of what he said a month, a week, a day, or a minute ago. They will still support him because they have no moral values whatsoever.

3 months ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 1

Plus, Trump doesn't care about losing more aircraft. They belong to America, not him, which makes them expendable.
And he especially doesn't care about the lives of American soldiers, he's called them losers & suckers on multiple occasions. So yeah, I imagine he very well could send our forces back in to bomb Iran again

You can't trust ANYTHING trump says. Even if he told the truth I would still need to verify it via a different source.

i am beginning to think most republicans are deplorables

Is KC-135 and the sunshine band going to be OK?

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

There was just a new set of strikes on S. Iran.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

fuck me man there are so many more casualties than what's being reported, we are russia now. not even giving grieving families closure, just like the moskva

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is giving their AA way too much credit. And russias AA isn't that impressive. It's not 100% terrible but about 500 drones was enough to overload Moscow that had about 240 AA in 4 rings around the city. It's outdated shit for shooting down modern jets. The reapers it might be able to take out though

They shot down an invisible F35 with a bubba'd 30year old SAM. They downed a surprising number of surveillance and attack drones and are still doing so. They have to play whack a mole with all of their assets, which limits effectiveness in the moment but preserves capability. If it starts back up its going to turn out the same way, they'll keep hitting high value targets and we'll bomb civilian infrastructure. I'd expect Iranian targeting to become more personal, Israeli desalination plants etc.

Left out the two OH-6 “Little Birds” that were destroyed at the same site the two C-130s were destroyed at during the rescue of the downed F-15 crew.

Cost in equipment?

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He wanted to troll Iranian cities by buzzing them with low flying jets. Changed his mind after a $100,000,000 jet was hit by a missile from an "obliterated" anti-aircraft system

3 months ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

The "system" in this case was also likely a man portable launcher.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Iran has perfectly functional anti-air systems including both cannons and missiles.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, and a MANPAD launches a missile. That is my point, they don't need a fully integrated SAM complex to be able to threaten low flying aircraft. It functionally impossible to prevent Iran from being able to use man-portal weapons to defend their airspace.

*MANPADS. The S is for dystem(s,l

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The only thing he's worried about losing is face.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And his own money.

Were the 24 drones destroyed before intended impact, or during? Seems an important distinction.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The MQ-4C is a surveillance drone. The MQ-9 is a weapons platform that can be loaded with for example hellfire missiles or bombs. Neither of them are supposed to impact on anything, they're supposed to return to base after any mission.

I see. Thanks for the info!

That E-3 looked pretty much a write off rather than "damaged." That "damage" isn't going to buff out. https://www.nbcnews.com/world/iran/iran-war-attack-us-base-saudi-arabia-sentry-jet-destroyed-strike-rcna265764

The tires look ok. They are expensive.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

pretty sure I just saw that on facebook marketplace: "MInor frame damage, no lowballers, I know what I got"

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Iirc, one was damaged and another was destroyed, this graphic doesnt include the one you have pictured

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Eh, a little buffing, some strategic use of duct tape, and some spit'll polish that right up.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I may be wrong but I have this memory that this was a Saudi plane that got destroyed and an american one got damaged too but more shrapnel hits than thia.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 13

You are very wrong. Use your eyes.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The "OK" on the tail means the plane in the image is from Tinker AFB in Oklahoma. The American flag on the tail means it is a USAF aircraft. Tail number 0005 (full serial number 81-0005) was permanently assigned to the 552nd Air Control Wing based at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma.
