Goodbye little buddy. You gave me so much

Yesterday I took my little buddy to the vet for the last time.
He was 14 and in the last few years went blind due to diabetes.
Before Christmas his glucose levels dropped very low then took a 180 degree turn and went so high he was off the scale.
He spent a while at a pet hospital. Got better and was fine for some time. Then got sick again.
He had a great Christmas and spent New years by my side.

I think I will remember him this way.
Sleeping on my pillow. Snoring and running in his sleep.
Good bye Tiger. I will meet you again.

Our last Christmas.
As a younger dog he would spin a dozen times when you arrived home.
Bark at every noise around - even if nothing was there.
He offered nothing but love and affection.
He knew if you were feeling low and would demand a tummy rub to fix it.
He would do that trick only dogs can do by forcing his nose under your hand so you give him a cuddle.
Somewhere I know a little dog is waiting for me to arrive.
