To the man sitting across from me in a crowded airport using speaker phone for 20+ minutes: I hate you. Go fuck yourself.

Some people have so little self-awareness. None of us need to hear both sides of your conversation. It's just as easy for you to hold the phone up to your ear.

open your mouth and say "sir...SIR....could you please speak into your phone normally?"

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I view speakerphone as an invitation to join in on the conversation

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You don't radiant your brain on speaker. Fewer brain tumors.

DL a dog whistle app. That's what I do.

Enjoying the comments, but downvoting because @OP needs to nut up and tell the fuckwit to knock it off rather than being passive aggressive.

And now we all hate him with you. This is a very hated man now. Much was accomplished today.

Tell security he was talking about a bomb.. that will take care of it

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My phone is broken, so I can't make phone calls without speaker on. Therefore I save these phone calls for when I'm not in public.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Take it back.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He's an ignorant asshole.

9 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 2

I would tell him that

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We need a new plague

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Even worse, he's sitting at the power outlets and *NOT CHARGING ANYTHING*.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Ummm....Why don't you move?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

FaceTime ?

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

My first thought

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Go sit right next to him, get involved...

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Them buttons bout to burst.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Almost as bad as the people that walk around with their music blaring from their phones.

9 years ago | Likes 95 Dislikes 0

Or cars!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Maybe when they're leaving the car running and go into the gas station, leaving the radio blaring. I've seen that too!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've had a car pull beside me at a stoplight with the bass so loud you actually feel the vibration. Like we're supposed to be impressed.

A guy use to come into our tattoo shop wearing the shirt of the band he was listening to that day. On speaker. The ENTIRE time he was there.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Or games at full volume. Basically, just use headphones in public.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Common courtesy, much like common sense is becoming not so common.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He may be deaf. Not all hearing aids work with phones. They get feedback when you hold the phone too close. You have to use speaker phone.

9 years ago | Likes 61 Dislikes 14

Funny, he doesn't look deaf...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

Possible, but in that case it would have been more courteous to find a secluded spot to take the call so as to not bother others.

9 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 2

crowded airport, no matter where you go, its gonna annoy someone

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

Yep.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Disability doesn't give you the right to be an asshat.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

You're an idiot if you didn't even ask him to stop.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It seems it's a new swag-thing to phone like this. You can easily spot the idiots thank to this

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You can either sit there in your indignant self righteousness, or you can move. Just move.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

actually, its been shown that people get more annoyed when they can only hear one side of a conversation

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'd cropdust the bastard

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You are obviously a polite person, I am that bastard who would start answering their questions, comment s etc till they got the hint.

9 years ago | Likes 257 Dislikes 2

Doesn't work well in SF BART. The guy/girl get violent. Source: almost got punched for asking someone to switch from speaker to headphone.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I always ask "so hey, whatcha wearin'?" Especially uncomfortable when they are taking to their mom. Fuck those people.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I've done that.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Should've moved right next to him in that open seat, and then joined in on the conversation!

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

"oi, mate, use your phone like a normal person or fuck off to somewhere else" is my usual approach but I think I prefer yours

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah, just grab that empty seat next to the guy and join right in. "Hey Cheryl, Dan here, tell me more about that wacky day you had!"

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Ditto. I started talking to the guy on the other end one time. Turns out he was pissed about being put on speaker unknowingly

9 years ago | Likes 83 Dislikes 1

And rightfully so!

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I guess I'm an asshole then. I tell them they are being a dick and pissing people off, would they kindly take speaker off or use headphones.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

.. or you could say "hey, your speakerphone conversation is both loud and annoying"

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

"hey. You don't have to listen to it guy"- logic of that douche canoe

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

nah, most ppl at that point would either explain or be quieter. if they aren't tho you have full permission to go asshole on em

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How is this different from two people talking?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

No one wants your logic, ok? @op just jelly cause airport dude has someone to talk to.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Use the speech jammer app

9 years ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 3

Oh man there's an app for that now? We used to do it manually when buds were talking to their GFs. Called it "The Repeater"

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What's that do?

9 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Jams the speach.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

I believe it sends your conversation back at you but a fraction of a second after you say it. Screws up your talking

9 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 0

Sounds like every cellphone as of late...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sounds awesome

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The ones I've tried weren't great. If you overly focused on what you were saying it had little effect. Works best in casual conversation.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Done that to myself doing recordings for games and music...Man it messes you up bad. You start talking so slow and it feels like stroke.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Casts Raspberry jam. Only one person would dare use Raspberry...

9 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

Space Balls deserves a +1.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The first 30 sec explains the vid and jammer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oU9EGeMP5n4

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I can't stop laughing!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I don't get how it disturbs his speach this much... I tried the app and had no trouble talking at all

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's unbelievable. The dudes accent makes it even better. Be sound like Forrest Gump more than once trying to pronounce things.
