Sony made a Mavica camera around 2000 that took a 3.5 inch floppy disc. You actuallt put the floppy disc into the camera. With the resolution of my phone today you couldn't fit a single photo onto a floppy disc.

The last photo I took with my phone is 1.1MB but many in my camera reel are over 3MB. In addition to resolution, it depends on the image complexity and compression efficiency. So a simple photo *could* fit on a 1.44MB floppy. Though you still wouldn’t want to because it would take something like 37 seconds to read 1.1MB from a 1.44MB floppy Disk.

They're now just a brand name Lenovo uses, so not technically the same company that made the RAZR, and before that I had a T191, the smallest cellphone I ever owned. Fantastic phone. But I got a G54 which was £160 brand new on Amazon and it's great. I have a huge mp3 collection ripped from my CD collection and my old firm with 20 music lovers and a couple years of napster. I also have a large live music collection of show I have been to from archive.

With current architecture they can't really add much more storage because we've reached the smallest possible size before quantum mechanics start really fucking with the operation. There's still some room for optimization, but it will get more and more expensive for minimal gains.

we're reaching the limitations of the conventional universe, im afraid. at least with how conventional transistors work. we're working with transistors so small that quantum tunneling is becoming a limiting factor for controlling where the electrons are. you dont want your electron to suddenly be one transistor to the left and brick your pc because of quantum mechanics.

3 billion base pairs is correct, the rest is BS. You can express every base pair in 2 bits since there are only 4 bases (A, C, G & T), meaning you end up with 6 billion bits. Divide by 8 to get bytes, by 1024 to get KB, and again by 1024 to get MB. You'll arrive at 715 MB.
