And you can never build BIG cities in CS. If you want to go above 60k, you need a decent PC

SC4 still works great. I recommend the GOG version + many mods. It runs very well for me, with modern hardware. Better than Skylines.

You can force the game to run on a single core, as far as I'm aware. What was the problem you're talking about? I have a multi-core CPU.

The game just didn't run smoothly on modern computers. Setting it to a single core helped but it was still laggy for me. I'll try again!
