Sand or chip carefully, wood putty if needed, then prime and paint, is what I'd do

I'd sand it right back until all deformation is gone, repair it with bondo to the same profile as the other legs 1/2

(bondo looks the same as mdf after it is sanded and painted) then repaint the whole thing so it doesn't look patched
