Double check the hdmi cable in the back of the xbox is in the out not in port

I believe there is a way to reset the image format too with the buttons.

I repair these professionally. The most common cause is a bad HDMI cable, followed by a damaged HDMI port, and still sometimes the retimer IC goes out.

Had this happen after a thunderstorm. Fries HDMI chip on the main circuit board. My condolences.
