Not evident if trace, hopefully not. Should I try just reheating and adding a spot of solder?

Any chance the capacitor goo corrupted or corroded something? Maybe bridge a gap somewhere?

Yeah. Maybe test the capacitor, make sure the connections are good. Then test the other connections. Could be something fried when the /
