We used to live in a town of about 30k people. I used to order LOTS of stuff from AliExpress (small electronics). I had daily deliveries. Every single one was to I.P. Freely Enterprises. One day we were in the post office and they noticed who I was and said "we're curious, what does your company *do*"? They were so happily curious.
I had to break the news to them that I just used that name because it's funny. They laughed their asses off and yelled back to the other workers about it. Fun times.
I have worked with some high level USPS people. They are very kind and really really enjoy their job. The nicest people I have had the privilege to work for.
He's wearing a uniform, so he's a city carrier paid hourly. Rural carriers are not hourly, and by day 3 or 4 would've just driven past without slowing down.
That mailman deserves a HUGE Christmas bonus from these guys, after dealing with their prank and assisting with their content creation.
Also, they made it smaller AND shorter which feels like double jeopardy. They could have made the box smaller while keeping it on a standard height pole.
It's not even illegal... Wait... Yes, it is illegal. There are minimum and maximum sizes allowed for mailboxes, and specific heights and distances from the road are required. You wouldn't get arrested, or even fined. Your mail just would *NOT* be delivered. https://www.usps.com/manage/mailboxes.htm
There are also requirements for size of mail - but I'm not sure whether that's only to qualify for a class, or if they'll refuse it at some point. (how do you even address mail the size of a postage stamp?)
Nah, there are minimum and maximum dimensions and heights for mailboxes which mail carriers are very well aware of. He could have chosen not to deliver or pick up the mail once the boxes were outside of that range. He's doing this because he wants to, and clearly finds it funny.

That guy is going to talk about this for years
CorgisButtsDriveMeNuts
You people use mailboxes?
usernametakenisthestoryofmylife
Gu's probably wondering "why is this asshole doing this to his mailbox?"
Doctorfatherson
Mail carriers are really fucking busy and really underpaid. Just leave them some water and snacks and then leave them alone.

In my country there are regulated sizes for mailboxes. Any smaller, or not high enough, and the mailman just won't deliver because of the regulations.

That big mailbox is not the biggest mailbox in the whole world. That honor belongs to this one:

Sure but if you use the guy for content, you gotta cut him in on the money.

Yeah, the only "victim" here probably looks forward to the shenanigans mailbox as his highlight of the day. Dude really seemed to enjoy the prank.

You can see he noticed being filmed early on. He was 100% rolling with it. Hooray for everyone involved.
