My dad just passed.

These pictures are from this past Saturday. We took a road trip to South Carolina to see his brother, my uncle, who was on the hospital because of a cancer scare. A lot of things were going poorly between my dad and my mom for a few years, but they had started to fix things and get back on track. A lot of these problems prevented us from doing things like this road trip and unfortunately it took my uncle going into the hospital for us get our asses in gear and go see our family.

A lot of these problems between my mom and dad caused a lot of resentment between all of us, but I still love them with all my heart, I just didn't like them sometimes. We, as in my father and I, aren't the greatest communicators, we don't express our feelings well, but when we do its deep. This road trip my dad and I took was a great bonding moment for us. We were able to get a lot of our frustrations out and see things from a more clear perspective.

I found him this morning, according to the ME, he passed sometime Sunday night in his sleep, so the night we got back from our trip. I followed him in my truck to the rental car office. He got in my truck, we drive back to his place, I dropped him off and said see ya later.

I know I'm kinda all over the place here so I guess what I'm trying to get at is go hug your father's for me today. Tell them you love them. I didn't do it enough and I won't get another chance to.
