I dreamt about Darwin tonight for the first time since his passing. It wasn't much of a dream but he was sitting in the corner of a room I wasn't familiar with and wagging his tail and looking happy. I told him I loved him and I missed him very much. And then I went to pet him and he walked away from me. Haha that's typical Darwin fashion though. I'm a mess this morning. Love you guys and your fur babies

Pathos passed away this last March. Since then I have seen him in four dreams. In the dreams I forget that he passed away. When I wake it is no easier to absorb the reality. I will always love you and feel your absence, Pathos.

I also had a Darwin (currently a Sagan). He was an abused shelter dog that was a breeder that had to have almost all his teeth pulled and had liver disease. I'm still in debt for putting his meds on credit, but I gave him the best four years he could have. I miss him every day. I can only imagine what you're going through when your have a dream that's vivid like that, friend. 🫂

It has been like 7 years since Blossom died. 8 days later the other dog, Toetie died. Half a year since Otto died. 2 years since mom died, and 6 since gramms.

I still dream about my first cat. She was with me from 8 to like 26. My sweet little void that would lick my eyebrows to remind me to feed her at 6am. Whenever a dark shadow passes my eyes at night, first thing I do is say "Oh hey Blacky." Maybe animals have ghosts?
