Just turned the big 3-0. Most people would party it up with friends and family. For me, it was just family b/c I have no real friends. I am unemployed, in debt, alone, and disappointed. I hate everything about myself. I don’t like rejection. I don’t like being criticized. I care about what people say about me and I try not to. I swear I have the most hateable face. I am overweight. I can go on and on and on. I haven’t been able to get a job since February and it is starting to take it toll on my self-esteem. The only thing that is keeping me sane is going to the gym every day. Not sure if it is helping me lose weight but it’s at least keeping the depression at ease. The worst part is that my parents don’t know that I am unemployed and constantly lying about it. I had plans to go to Hawaii for a few weeks in September b/c I had saved up all my vacation hours for 2 years. Driving back from my parents, all I can think of for 2 hours is; What can I have done better? What can I do to better myself? How did I get to this point? Just endless thinking. Sorry for the rant, but I had to get it out.

You've outlived most of your ancestors! Congrats on not dying. You will probably get through another two more 30 years celebrations.

Stop thinking about the past then! You have the future, and it's looking great with you going to the gym and trying what you can

At some point you have to fear where you are & where you are going in life more then you do rejection. Keep taking chances it only has to 1/

In debt *AND* overweight? Can you make better food choices and reduce food spending?

Honestly I felt depressed until I turned 35, then something clicked and I started loving life. It's not you vs the world, it's you vs you.

Read "Ask and it is Given", by Esther and Jerry Hicks. Pretty damn good book for helping you think in a more productive manner.

Think one positive thought. Let it lead to another. So small and stupid but it works. Change the way you think of urself it’ll het better.

You won't lose weight at the gym if you don't change your diet too. But keep it up, it's good for your mental health as well. Good luck.
