Im pretty sure that its an orb weaver. AKA a garden spider. Not 100% sure though

I guess the forced perspective threw me off. I with thinking it was one of the greater orb weavers. The kind that eat locusts.

It was an orb/Neoscona it just looked weird after I hit it with a stick. It was to close to my kayak for comfort
