I’m thinking about renting this place and living here alone for the next two years. It’s a small furnished studio apartment right next to a train station in a fairly quiet, rural area of South Korea.
The apartment seems clean, has plenty of built-in storage, a washing machine, and a nice open view. The location is convenient for commuting, but the surrounding area is much quieter and less developed than where I currently live.
How does it look to you? Do you think it would be comfortable enough for one person to live in for two years?

That sink looks ridiculously small for washing dishes, and I don't see a microwave at all. There looks like there might be a cooktop surface above that combination washer/dryer. And I'm assuming one of those cabinet doors is hiding a minifridge inside. A tiny rice cooker or instantpot would consume most of the limited counter space. So, your food storage and prep options are going to be severely limited. If that's not a deal beaker, the rest of the space is manageable.

You learn to create different zones for different purposes, e.g. sleeping, working, crafting etc. And you have multi-purpose furniture and stuff. As others have said, be ruthless with clutter and disciplined about tidying up after yourself and you'll be fine.

Quiet area but on a train route? Ideal! Small area also is easy to maintain if you avoid clutter. I'd live there. Bet there's more nearby than you think if you explore a little. Best of luck!

I think it has potential. Granted i also turn every room i live in i to a bohemian tent, so... but i think its nice. I also think the view is nice. Interesting enough to look outside a lot at least.

I actually knew someone who is living in a studio about exactly that size. Except he has two other adult dudes living with him... over a year now. You should be fine.

It feels a bit sterile, but clean and bright. A few touches to make it yours, and cozy, and I think it would be very acceptable.

The train station may be convenient but I always worry about security and noise if my apartment is VERY close by. Otherwise the size is fine; you can look up Tiny Home living for creative ideas regarding space and stuff management.

Looks rather like a dorm room. Not awful, though I never loved studio style rooms myself. The lack of cooking prep space would get to me.

Yeah, I’ll probably have no choice but to eat out most of the time. The lack of counter space definitely seems inconvenient.

A rice cooker and maybe an air fryer or instantpot would be useful. Maybe a folding table to act as temporary cooking space as needed.

So there in lies the answer. How many good take out's are in the immediate area ? Less than a dozen and I'd pass.

Technically, yes, but it’s tiny and has almost no prep space.

When I was in korea, the food was cheap and everything gets delivered so alot of ppl i knew didn't ever cook. depending on how rural you are and access to good delivery, cooking might not be a huge factor in your decision
