My game is called Creature Keeper, and it's a Top-Down Action-Adventure RPG with a focus on befriending creatures and fighting alongside them. Assemble your dream team, and explore the world to find new friends, loot, materials, and magical pocket garden seeds.

Creature Keeper has been my pet project since I first got into gamedev as a hobbyist. I started out with a very basic zelda-like, and I didn't know how to do pixel art, program, compose, or anything. Since then, the game has grown beyond that, and my skills have expanded into learning basically everything and more.

I've been able to get by, making pixel art for a living, but now I've finally got an idea worthy of bringing to the world. Creature Keeper is on Kickstarter and you can find more information and a Playable Demo at : https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/creaturekeeper/creature-keeper

I would be very thankful to receive your support!

Been watching this on Kickstarter, glad to see you're getting close.

Love the animations, they are gorgeous!! You are a talented artist, definitely gonna look out for this one

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks! I believe that great animations are essential for great feeling combat, so with my interest in combat mechanics, they shine brightly

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Absolutely :) my brother was always very serious about that too, I wish he'd have kept going with it

This looks amazing! I just backed you on Kickstarter! Just 2k left to go in five days! Good luck!!

Iii think it looks like a cute game. But I also think new designers need to move the industry forward rather than adhering to old customs.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hopefully the mechanics I'm bringing to the table are unique and refreshing enough. I think the Pocket Garden is my most innovative so far

If it's the dream, the fact that you've had the initiative to do this is unique and refreshing enough, and I wish you all the luck with it.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thanks! You'll probably see some strawberry comments as well

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

That's pretty dag on neat. What libraries/programming languages/engines did you use?

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Just making the whole thing using Construct 2

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Backed! Good luck!

Thank you for your support!

Throw oranges, make friends. Got it.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Well, this is going on my kickstarter list. I’ll look over it more closely later :)

Tried out the demo. Really smooth controls! Beautiful art. ?

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Thanks for checking out the demo! It took a couple of releases to get it playing smoothly and mostly bug free.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Backed! Can't wait to play it!

Thanks for your support!

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Let's say I wanna get into gamedev too as a hobby, how and where would I start?

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Get started like how I did. I just downloaded Construct 2 and made my little crappy sprites move around. That was enough to make me happy

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Backed. Can't wait for the release but more importantly props to your hard work and dedication. It gives me hope for my own project

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Just keep making games! Get them out there and refine, refine, refine; both your game and your skills. Good luck!

Looks like English.

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Just english so far. Other options will be looked at when I have more time and resources

6 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 2

I meant programming. Should have specified

6 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 2

Oh lol, this is made in Construct 2

6 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 2

Lol I thought you meant programming language and then thought I was the idiot when everyone responded with English.

Ever consider making a discord server to help keep folk up to date with things? Or have any social media to post updates and such?

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I have both Discord : ps://discordapp.com/invite/hf9UZsQ">https://discordapp.com/invite/hf9UZsQ Twitter : https://twitter.com/blankthevidya

I remember seeing your posts about this over the last year or so, it's been looking promising--definitely jumping in on the Kickstarter.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You probably caught wind of it on twitter! I post a lot of updates on there whenever something cool happens

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Amazing job. As a programmer I can see you've carefully crafted your mechanics! I can't back but I'll give an upvote to help!

6 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 2

Thanks for your support! I've always been interested in tight battle mechanics, but now that interest has carried on to higher level stuff!

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Just curious why you can't back.. is it conflict of interest?

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Some people (like me) have negative money. Every dollar from my paycheck needs to go to paying off debt. For me it’s because I was 1/

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Unemployed for a while. Other people might have had unexpected medical bills or paying for a funeral or car repairs or anything really.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Or student loan debt

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sorry, I didn’t mean for that to sound snarky if it did :) I’m just over here pity partying

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What system?

6 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

It's gonna be for PC first, but I am looking into options for getting it on the Nintendo Switch!

6 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

I'd play the hell outta the android version.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Split screen co-op for PC?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Linux support?

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Switch would be a great choice. Lots of good indies, without all the trash. Hope to see you there soon, man. You've sold one copy, already.

6 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Thanks for your support! Every pledge helps to get me in a good position to deliver a Switch port ASAP!

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

You got it.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's enough for me! If I back for a copy, would I be able to wait for the Switch port? (Dont have a PC)

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I will send out the Kickstarter survey a few months before the game is released asking you which version of the game you want, PC or Switch
