I mean, its never a bad thing to eat less McDonalds. Their food is not even good by fast food standards. But still keep in mind that the photo op was not affiliated with McDonalds. Franchises are still small business owners; bad ones exist, but so do good ones. I wouldn't collectively punish everyone because one dude decided to let the cheeto in chief stage a photo in his store.

Unpopular opinion: Any number of McDonalds franchises supporting Trump is not enough for me to boycott them. Trump is an asshole, but he is on your side of the pond. The current boycott I'm doing is because IT retailer sold drones to Russia and that was enough for me to boycott them. Also, last time I ate in McD, it was La Rambla, Barcelona, Spain.

I’ll make the case to you that you can resume pitching and moaning about McDonald’s on November 7. in between now and then, you should be focusing on getting every young person you know under the age of 35 committed to voting. That group only voted at a 25% rate in the 2022 midterm.

I've eaten at McDonalds twice in the past 6? years. I disliked it both times - made me feel like crap. My body is probably not used to it anymore. I used to eat there quite a bit when I was a kid though.

Very large number of them are locally owned and operated. Their app works well and if I am in the mood for breakfast, I can always get a breakfast sandwich for two dollars. I realize they’re fabulous target for young peoples hatred.
I have a suggestion, however. Maybe get registered and vote.
Less than 25% of young voters even bother to turn out and vote in the 2022 midterm election. This has been documented by tufts university .

It’s cheaper than Arby’s, Sonic, and Taco Bell. Especially if you get the meal deals or use their coupons and points in the app. Always order on the app and you’ll save a little money. But I know in some markets the franchisees are jacking up prices more than in other places and that’s despicable.

And it's not even really convenient anymore. If you go during a meal rush, you're waiting longer than it'd take to make your own lunch. They invented "fast food" by streamlining their menu down to just a few items so they could just crank out burgers and fries. Now, with 187 menu choices, custom made, their convenience is gone. All that's left is whip cracking and gov subsidized poverty wages and shit food to keep siphoning away people's money, time, and health.

Half of that is correct, at least locally, they are hiring starting at 16+/hour and you can get a 1 bedroom apartment for less than 700/month.
I can't speak for everywhere in the country, but locally, the labor market has driven fast food and grocery store worker pay to be pretty ok.
