Mbiras and kalimbas work the same way, but kalimbas are this size. Also called "thumb pianos" sometimes.
mbira has a double row of keys though, right? Mine and this one are single and that seems to be consistent with a Kalimba.
Kalimba. Easy to mess around with and do some simple songs, but there are some talented people who do great stuff with it.
