Twisted ankle

This was my ankle 16 hours ago. Now straightened up and different scans taken, doctors found no reason for surgery. No bones broken or tendenses snapped. Talk about luck in an unlucky incident.

PUT A BLOODY WARNING IN THE TITLE OR ELSE YOUR LEFT ANKLE IS NEXT.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And I somehow managed to break my ankle walking up the stairs and didn't know it for two days. What the fuck.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Doctor: I'm afraid you're going to be swimming in circles from now on.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You're so lucky you didn't damage any tendenses.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Filthy tendenses.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

F***ING OWWW!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So does that make this the world's worst dislocation?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

The doctor who was around 50 said it was the worst dislocation he had seen

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You're lucky nothing's broken! Your bones must be made of rubber

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Nor rubber, milk.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was the First Aider when a guy did this at my old work and passed the fuck out. good times. dont miss them.

9 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

I had good friends around when it happend. And we laughed all the way to the hospital.

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Yeah the guy was more chilled out than some of my colleagues were

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

From expirerence i can say that this sort of injury looks whey worse than it hurts.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

i imagine the pure Adrenalin probably helped tbh, and the fact he passed out too

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Yeah adrenaline helps, I'm happy I didn't pass out because I am the one in my group who knows first aid and what to do.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

In this case get to the hospital ASAP and popp it back in place, because the dislocation probably closed off blood circulation.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

How the FUCK is nothing broken?

9 years ago | Likes 529 Dislikes 2

It's a dislocation of the ankle.

9 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 1

As someone who has dislocated her shoulder(s) 9 times combined.... NO.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

The bones of the tarsus are tough little mofos (since they do have to support an entire human all the time)

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Maybe OP will found the Fantastic Four soon.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

She'll almost certainly have broken done ligaments doing that

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You're a good friend

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pure ligamentous injury. It's actually worse because those heal way slower and much more poorly than bone

9 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

Like a dislocated shoulder, only at the other end of the body. Youch!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes and no. Dislocating your shoulder doesn't necessarily mean you tore ligaments. That's a looser joint.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh, didn't realize. I'm just an amateur. Probably should have kept my mouth shut!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've sprained my ankles so many times, my doctor told me to just break it next time so it can heal for once

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well maybe you need a lateral ankle ligament repair. Tighten that up and be on with life. Unless you have collagen disorder

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'll take an avulsion fracture over a torn ligament any day

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

True. I tore a ligament in my thumb and now I have chronic pain. No bueno, would've rather just broken it

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Broke my hand a while back, chronic pain is a thing

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fucked up the ligament In my thumb fencing, chronic pain occurs now yay

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Be careful to avoid dislocations if you dislocated it when you tore it. They can and will happen more easily now.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

True, my shoulder dislocates even in my sleep and i wake up sore as hell

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nah I didn't dislocate it I just jammed it really bad, not actually sure how it happened TBH. I was performing and I didn't stop to think
