Dog Returned 3 Times to Shelter Needs Home That Sticks

Original post: Hi everyone, meet Boudreaux aka Bubba B aka Bou!
Boudreaux is a sweet, loyal and loving dog who has faced some of the worst luck I've ever encountered in the Austin Animal Center.

BOUDREAUX'S BAD LUCK
-- In 2012, Boudreaux (a 6 & 1/2 year old, 80 pound, dogue de bordeaux mix) was surrendered because his owners were moving and could/would not take him with them.
- He was adopted again 2013 and stayed with that owner until march of 2016 when he was surrendered again due to his owner moving. The longer he spent in the kennel, the more stressed he got. And with his age & size, it's easier for him to get overlooked by prospective adopters.

- Because of his age & time in the system, he faced his exit date from the Austin Animal Center this past November, putting him at risk for euthanasia. He did get adopted just in the nick of time and pulled from the shelter: https://www.facebook.com/DogsOutLoud/posts/1132424443492442 ...

- He's been returned 3 separate times by 3 separate owners that weren't able to make the commitment.

- I can't stress this enough: He has been evaluated by a behaviorist who thinks he is a lovely dog. His 2016 was just as bad as ours & he doesn't understand why he keeps getting moved around. 

- Dogs Out Loud, a wonderful shelter assistance group is once again trying to find a home for him; unfortunately, because of the holidays and people being away, DOL has been scrambling to find at least a temporary foster for him these past few weeks (if not a long term foster or fingers crossed, an adoption).

- His current foster situation ends in **one week** and he has no home lined up - he is facing either a 
boarding situation or returning to the high-risk situation at the city shelter.

- Boudreaux is pretty low energy and thrives in a quiet and calm environment. He is treat motivated and is eager to please his person.
- He loves to go for car rides (seen here with a great DOL volunteer), snuggle with his person, nap. He loves bully sticks and sunbathing. His ideal home would be a house with a fenced in yard where he can hang out.

- We've been doing everything we can to help him get seen in front of the forever family that's waiting to discover him.
