DotA 1 was a warcraft 3 minimap, Jaina's model was used as the crystal maiden model/champ and they kept it that way, a lot of dota 2 1/2

Well Jaina was in warcraft 3, and the first DotA game was a warcraft 3 mini map, she was the original crystal maiden character in that map

They used the same model (Rylei) but with the release of HotS they changed one of her skill's names to avoid infringement. That is all.
