never met and obsessive compulsive mountain biker who cleans his chains after each run ? also they get soaked and cleaned before soldering and when you solder it at 1200 degrees the oil and dirt burns off

80 grit silicone wheel and then just go up to 120 to 1000 to get a high polish , I use a flex shaft for that and switch out the wheels

I did not . I made some 20 years ago when I first started silversmithing . I have not made them since a while but I got into it again . I can make a video or a photo process in how you can make them yourself . Just need a air/acetylene torch , solder and a links .

You can see the welds, TIG most likely. If you don't have that, you can drill holes and use epoxy. They're gonna rust though, so make sure to clean them after wear. I made a bracelet of chain sideplates years ago and in the summer or at work the sweat left my wrist brown and the bracelet rusty every evening.

actually done with medium hard solder ( silver solder ) and an Acetylene/Air torch . It takes a while to get it heated enough and sterling on steel is a tad harder to do then sterling on sterling . I can tell you it smokes a lot as it also burns off some of the oil he used for lubing the chains .

Ignoring everything else you said: chrome plating isnt evidence of anything. Electroplating isnt actually that hard to do as long as you have the stuff for it, and most of that isnt even that expensive

Nope, there is nothing about this post that is bullshit. You can see in OPs photo signs of corrosion and wear on the chain links. Those links were once part of an actual bike chain and were just cleaned, overall quite different in a lot of details from what you posted- even the dimensions, design, and shape of the cuff link hardware are quite different. OP has an etsy store with thousands of one-off handmade jewelry items...
