Full English Breakfast with all the trimmings.
Always best enjoyed with a friend.
Black pudding
Lincolnshire sausages
Back bacon
Potatoes
Onion
Tomatoes
Mushrooms
White bread
Baked beans
5 eggs
Vegetable oil
HP sauce and ketchup
Salt and pepper
Grate the potatoes into a bowl.
Squeeze the grated potatoes to let out as much of the moisture as possible.
Add finely chopped onion salt, pepper and an egg.
This is what it will look like.
Mix thoroughly.
In a medium heat frying pan place two big lumps in the pan.
Flatten and shape into patties.
Fry until golden brown on both sides.
Place in a baking tray and keep in the oven.
Put your baked beans on a low heat.
Fry your sausages and tomatoes in vegetable oil.
After the sausages are cooked, place the bacon in the same pan and add the sausages to the pan with the hash browns.
Fry the bacon until cooked.
Add your mushrooms and fry.
Add your bread and fry.
Fry on both sides until golden brown.
Add your fried bread to your oven tray and place in the oven.
Crack the eggs onto a frying pan on a low heat.
EGGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When your eggs are almost cooked, take everything out of the oven.
Plate up how ever you like.
Mmmmmmmmm fry up :)
That will do us I think.
Any questions please ask. Everyone needs to have a proper full English Breakfast in their life. If you are going to do it, do it right.
:)
iseverythingtaken77
+1 for HP sauce

THANK YOU FOR INCLUDING A RECIPE
Beelsebooob
To those of you in the United States - THIS is how you full English. Note - not full Scottish - that would have square sausage and tatty 1/
Beelsebooob
scones as well as all the above. 2/2
Meepsicle
Ha, I was just about to bemoan the lack of tattie scone, not realising the English do it wrong :p A hash-brown? Ugh :p
RazorAndBladeSavedTheDay
Drzhivago138
Looks like we got ourselves an anus tart!
Fuzzysteve
Hrm. Hash brows in a full English? Not traditional. Not that I'd be complaining :D
Sphinxycat
As a full English expert I take my hat off to you young sir. You deserve a knighthood
Peejays
I agree! Although I do question the very milky builders tea I see there...
DarylWilliams
Thank you kind sir!
thepuppet
It's the Lincolnshire sausages that makes it, growing up with them makes anything else taste like rubbish!
morethanadore
Nothing beats an English breakfast, any time of the day! +1 for authenticity
Beelsebooob
Scottish breakfast beats English breakfast - it's the same thing but with square sausage and tattie scones too.
houndfriedchicken
There's no beating an English breakfast - only diluting it.
ediddy631
Do you guys use canned beans over there? Any special brand?
poacher5
Beans means Heinz.
opdeliversifrequested
Heinz is the standerd. Most others are to sweet or watery.
CarpeDizzle
Heinz
NIGELW18
My own fave is Branston - a greater depth of flavour - but it has to be said that Heinz have been a traditional favourite for umpteen years
EverardDigby
Yes, another Branston lover. Heinz is so overrated and over priced.
doughbutt
Heinz
WannaMakeTenBucks
Heinz, which, strangly enough, comes from America.
Drzhivago138
It must be a holdover from the days of postwar rationing.
AlwaysUndecided
Heinz Baked Beans, heat up on the stove, add some Tabasco/hot sauce....bobs your uncle
MyNamelsMrSnrub
4 drops of worcestershire sauce for me, but that's my preference!
uberarticuno
Yep, was gonna say some worcestershire really adds to it
nevoreJunkie
Add some grated cheese. Cheesy beans are best beans
kittenkatt
Looks great! If I can figure out where to locally find black pudding, this would make a great Christmas breakfast for my husband.
OddCreative
That is a lot of protein.
SirChadwellHeath
it's a lot of everything
Jaboticaba
And cholesterol
dazzer65
Can I have extra black pudding instead of mushrooms please oh and another brew in about 10 mins. Cheers.
opdeliversifrequested
Yes the 2nd strong tea is a must!
criablelurst
YEAH well I had a slice of toast with marmite for breakfast. F**k you and your endless time to make a full english breakfast. *cries softly*
BlckLyht
Me: YEEEESS I want to eat all of it. Also Me: B O I u know we can't handle that much.
Individualsocksinthewashingmachine
It's weird, I'm from Scotland and the only time I'll have a full breakfast is on holiday, and it's fucking dynamite
Fuzzysteve
Well, it's a bit of a pain assembling everything and keeping it all warm.
Individualsocksinthewashingmachine
Yeah, but it's so worth it. I'm pretty sure if everyone sat down to a full Scottish/English breakfast when there's a disagreement there
Individualsocksinthewashingmachine
Would never be another war
beggingyourmajestyspardon
Question @OP...where would one acquire black pudding in the colonies? For British science, of course
DeadArcadian
In the US I just made it myself, local butchers and stores have the material
loefflera6956
Local meat/bucher shops sometimes have black pudding or blood sausage. Certain tissues are illegal US though.
DarylWilliams
I'm not sure, it could be banned in your country
MrWobblyHead
Amazon might be a good place to start. Or websites that cater to British ex-pats.
CallingYouOnYourShit
Buying blood on Amazon. What could possibly go wrong?
mrsticks115
British Connection store in my neighboring town! Thank you British immigrants!
ScottMurray24
What about British style bacon? I’ve checked most major stores and can’t seem to find any
DeadArcadian
it's all about getting a cut from the back instead of the belly, so you might have to find a back cut or a butcher
TheDogEnd
Go to your butcher, he'll have back bacon...Otherwise, just get Canadian bacon (peameal bacon), it's pretty much the same thing
KaminoNeko
To be more accurate - peameal and 'Canadian' bacon are both varieties of back bacon, but they're not the same variety. (Canadian is closer/
KaminoNeko
to the basic variety.)
MRQUI3TGUY
Damn that pan is wore out and I can see why
SexPiss
Only thing I do different is the bread. I dip it in the grease/oil from the bacon and sausage, and put it under the grill.
FluentPenguin
I put on weight looking at your posts.
MarioBoon
I'd replace the vegetable oil with lard, otherwise, perfect!
VladimirPutitin
Damn straight, lard or dripping. That's the authentic way
MattyB182
How often do you eat this, and once ate, do you eat again later in the day? English breakfast looks like it'd fit right into the AmericanME.
CarpeDizzle
You might eat a smaller version of this every day and then still have lunch and dinner later on. Especially if you work with your hands
CarpeDizzle
Maybe one this big on a Saturday morning before a match day. So just a pie and a load of pints later
MattyB182
That's supposed to say American Midwest
DarylWilliams
Traditional eaten before a hard 12 hour day in cold weather in Britain to keep the men going. Out army's hare also have this for years.
poacher5
It's pretty much standard on base food. When you're eating at 5 and aren't getting anything but a horror bag all day you want to fill up.
SecondTomorrow
My stomach would explode halfway through.
NZSheeps
+1 for fried bread and not toast.
strideo
Half the time I fry my bread in the pan instead of using the toaster. I still just call it toast though.
Imadethistobeatmybrother
From what I can gather you really are partial to a good fryup.... Well done keep up the good work..
shockingpenguinlovetriangle
So happy you've got the hp sauce. This is magnificent
organiste118
What is that? What is it similar to?
shockingpenguinlovetriangle
It's a tangy, vinegary tomatoey concoction. This description really doesn't do it justice though. Awesome with the beans.
organiste118
Thanks.
organiste118
Sounds intriguing. Now I have a new life goal: to hunt some down.
WhatDoWeThinkOfTottenham
The best part of a full English is that you can have it for breakfast, lunch or dinner
michonnedisapproves
Just like good PUSS
DarylWilliams
The English breakfast isn't just a for breakfast.. It's a transient being.
BananaDoingIt
Yeah, but then you call it an all day breakfast.
IWokeUpToTheCrackOfDawnAndSaidDawnGetOffMyFace
Brexit means breakfast!
cathodoluminescence
It is breakfast, lunch and dinner, calori-wise ;-)
complimentpin
Where do they serve it for dinner??
IWokeUpToTheCrackOfDawnAndSaidDawnGetOffMyFace
A real full English should fill you up for at least the next day. At least!
MarioBoon
It's the only thing you have if you want to eat well in the U.K.
spookytwigg
Fuck my off mate. We've got roast dinners, fish n chips... Pies?
MarioBoon
I still don't stand corrected. Mushy peas? Soggy chips in damp newspaper?
inquisitivefluff
What they said, and bangers and mash and spotted dick
iamagrocerybag
Cottage pie!
Jburli24
But not breakfast, lunch AND dinner, because you'd probably die.
ikillcats
I can't think of better way to welcome afterlife
TatersWhatsTatersPrecious
that thing would last me all 3
fbutt09
Forget the calorie intake. This is pure comfort food at its best. Everyday is a cheat day!!
busybusybumblebee
Bloody love having breakfast for dinner
DiarmuidRyan
I've had Irish versions of these (same thing really). And they've reduced my life expectancy by a few months each time. Fucking yummy.
nevoreJunkie
Kind of. I've eaten breakfast in all four of the home nations following rugby and there's subtle differences
cnash85
Irish breakfasts tend to favour white pudding over black.
TheonGreyjoysCock
This is the first English Breakfast I've seen on here that fulfills all the criteria. Well done sir.
BobertFisher
I don’t really write comments but I’ve gotta say well done for all criteria met!
DarylWilliams
Thanks man
Kommanche
HP Sauce meant an upvote from me
OHIGETITNOWstilldontgetit
Should totally have been Daddies. Anyone?
Kommanche
No
WacknCheese
But but....the mushrooms aren't from a can...
Beelsebooob
Yup, nailed it.
DarylWilliams
Thank you
fbutt09
I'm sure the eggs can be scrambled also. This would still count, right?
TheonGreyjoysCock
Yeh man, do what you wish with your eggs.
MrMcCookieMuffin
I personally do that. I omit lots and just have bacon, sausage, scrambled egg and sometimes beans. Some would hang me for blasphemy
Kommanche
That's not a full English then, it's just a cooked breakfast
MrMcCookieMuffin
I'm the type of guy to burn pasta so I'll take your word for it, because I've no idea on matters like these
UnidentifiedSittingObject
As an east Londoner, I will do one this Saturday.
tdstar
Kippers?
mischrys
What's HP sauce?
MrWobblyHead
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/HP_Sauce
NIGELW18
The absolute dog's bollocks of Brown Sauce. Perfect with a full English, Cheese on toast, Stew, Pies, Pasties... anything savoury.
CowboyRick
Made from the brown bricks of the houses of parlaiment
DarylWilliams
It's a tangy fruity vinigary sauce, goes great with bacon and sausages. It stands for 'houses of Parliament' it has them on the label.
floorguy
It has been my dream to eat an authentic one of these for yeara
AnalBumCoverFor7000Alex
We ate this nearly every morning for two weeks in Scotland - glorious. I'm really inspired to reproduce it...
WelshArtist
Cool fact, in Scotland, Wales & Ireland, it is called a full Scottish, full Welsh, full Irish.. easy to say that anything with 'English' 1/2
WelshArtist
branded on, the Celts do not like.
whosgotamatch76
we do it 4 times a year. more would give me a heart attack
RestingBitchFace1985
Me too. Let's dream big!
IWokeUpToTheCrackOfDawnAndSaidDawnGetOffMyFace
There’s only one one way to get a authentic one. Come to England and don’t settle for ‘chips’
complimentpin
There's a place down the road, you're always welcome
mehwithanextraletter
It's the same as a full Irish breakfast and it is amazing. Black and white pudding is the star of the dish.
mehwithanextraletter
instead of hash browns you can make potatoe farls. which is amazing with melted butter on top.
DarylWilliams
Has to done, in the proper way, with good quality ingredients. Why not give it a go yourself? :)
carrionstorm
It looks like so much work. I'm fat because I like food AND I don't do much work.

DarylWilliams
I'm only 29, you can do it it's just about prep, timing and understanding your temperatures
DeeDoubleYu
I mean, you can get 99% of the way there with a big fuckin frying pan an just go for it.
IBringGoodTiddiesAndRear
Unfortunately I'm not a fan of tomatoes or mushrooms, are there any acceptable alternatives?
freakstate
Leave them out.
adzc1987
Tattie scones an lorne sausage!
fliry
Just leave them out, that's what I do.
oynsy
I smell a member of the FUP!
DarylWilliams
I was kicked out of the fry-up police.
oynsy
haha, so was I, for dissing Enya of all things! couldn't be arsed to do another been soak :)
oynsy
*bean
ARatEar
Because blood pudding. That's why I have also wanted to do It but never have. I have never been able to track down blood pudding.
TheDragodile
Are you near enough to Indianapolis? http://www.clausgermansausageandmeats.com/sausageandlunchmeats.html
freakstate
More commonly known as black pudding. British corner shop dot co uk has Grants Black Pudding with worldwide delivery. Can't testify to it.
hotsaucehotsauce
You guys want me to send you some Bury black pudding?
Eonsoftime
Same here
danbrazier
It's not too difficult to make: dried pigs blood, pork fat, oats and seasoning, basically. Spanish morcilla is similar and also lovely.
ARatEar
So last time I tried I couldn't find the dried pigs blood. Went to 4 shops!
tazlah
Butchers or any meat wholesaler can help you out there.
haguard
Is there anywhere online you can get black pudding? Sounds rank but it's actually delicious. A staple of any good fry up :)
Robertyne
https://parkersbritishinstitution.com/product/black-pudding
MemeDissector
Tbh the blood pudding ain’t essential, though it’s good. Most places in the uk don’t serve it just because not everyone likes it
Fefeaage
Most places do serve it.
Nyxx31
I'll cook you one, just one, please present this comment as proof of discount
DarylWilliams
Okay cools
floorguy
You can come too I guess
floorguy
I'm on my way! Be there in spring!
Nyxx31
Voucher expires in roughly 3 years so you've gotta hurry.
