I thought foxes were nocturnal and if you saw them during the day, it means they might be rabid.

I forget the term but they're mostly active during dawn and twilight hours along with portions of the day. They usually sleep at night

You made me curious, so I checked it out. The term is Crepuscular. (skunks, cats, dogs, deer, rabbits) But apparently foxes ARE nocturnal.
