Headfirst only. Those dorsal fin spines would make tail first a problem.

Boy is that unnecessary music.

Well ya see, this very morning I choked on my coffee whilst sipping it and walking down the hall, managing to spill ~ half of it during my spasmatic coughing attack.

So I think we're about on the same level here.

I, a human who eats and walks, can do both of these actions at the same time as well.

Only if the flight attendant brings you snacks or dinner or something though.

I would say yes

“Aerial” is the term usually used.

Took him a few tries!

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That must take some practice, surely you can’t do that on the first try? And if you can’t do it in the first try, why try the second time? Or the third?

I feel like this was made by an american.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Because of the shitty, aggressive music over a nature video?

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It's to hide the sounds. Eagles sound like shitty seagulls.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Excuse me? I think you mean amazing seagulls.

Had a pair of freedom pigeons circling overhead yesterday here. Only the third time I’ve seen any.

Well, yeah. Americans sure do know how to eat.

I really liked the music.

It's a track called At Doom's Gate from the Doom 2016 soundtrack.

Can also be found on Spotify, and no doubt other music streaming services.

It's from either Doom (2016) or Doom Eternal I can't remember which. Both soundtracks are awesome though

'Murica Fuck Yeah!

Fun fact: There is no need for the eagle to risk dropping the fish by doing this. Eating it after landing is better in every possible way. This eagle drops the fish 20% of the time and every time he knows it was stupid and unnecessary, but still he keeps on doing it because he has ADHD.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think he does it with mirrors.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, yes he can.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just how tall is the camera operator?

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

At what point would the fish actually be dead here? Would it still wiggle on the way down? How about an animal that breathes air?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Talons probably punctured it a bunch before it even got into the birds mouth. I'm willing to bet the fish was already dead, or at least incapacitated.

I have investigated and there does seem to be sufficient video proof to confirm that yes an eagle can swallow a fish while flying.

I DID MY RESEARCH! by watching Imgur clips... /s

We have been schooled.

I concur.

I have my doubts, evidence is anecdotal at best, such a small sample size. Maybe this bird was trained by seagulls, need more birds.

Until I see a double-blind study published in Raptor Research Magazine I will decline to espouse an opinion on the topic. That video could be totally AI generated.

I've also done an independent review of the materials and find the evidence unconvincing. The video appears to be horizontally mirrored thus suggesting that the bird was flying east to west instead of west to east which is common amongst birds that swallow fish. (Lowery, G.
