Before you dismiss me, hang with me for a second....
Anyone who's played the game has probably seen or found this set of armour.
Fully maxxed out it will do the following things:
1) Guardian damage becomes 3.5 hearts MAX.
2) Gives your Ancient weapons an 80% boost. So that battle axe ++ is dealing over 100 with each swing.
3) Any other enemy - when they hit you - will result in you laughing in their faces, because they barely been scratched you.
Now, couple that with the shield which automatically parries guardian beams!
And the weapons that can slaughter a guardian in a few hits.
And he does all this by recycling old guardian parts in a furnace.
And who was involved in building the guardians? Most of the Sheikah.
-----
Picture this scenario: instead of using all the materials and energy to create the guardians and beasts (the things that were corrupted and basically murdered everyone in hyrule). They used said resources to build this armour - giving them an almost invincible army? An army of soldiers in this armour.....
I'll tell you one thing: go fight Ganon with a full ancient outfit......long story short it's a freaking bloodbath. You will walk over him with ease!
It just seemed funny to me, when I realised that this one guy had basically made an invincible armour set, guardian-reflecting shield and overpowered weapon set. Which, if they had been used in place of the guardians, would've made Ganon regret ever showing his face again.
Thanks for reading! Please give your opinions? Am I just crazy, or were the Sheikah being too tunnel visioned with the whole 'autonomous' thing?
PenisOfDeath
Kinda wish other outfits would let Link have his hair down instead of having it tied up in a ponytail or knot.

Send me the game and the console.... I will report my findings in 1 month

The sheikah found and reactivated the guardians and related tech, but did not create them. A majority of the tech was then hijacked by ganon
CosmicSentry
Are you sure? IIRC the Sheikah made the guardians a long time ago. Then the current day Sheikah started excavating them again.
CosmicSentry
Yeah, the Hylians basically told the Sheikah "your technology is too risky, either drop it or leave" hence why they ended up buried.
MarkerMage
So, you've got this amazing, invincible robot army, and you want to tear it apart for equipment to outfit a smaller, invincible human army?
CosmicSentry
Robot army that was corrupted within 5 seconds*
MarkerMage
Those 5 seconds were from the SECOND time they were used against Ganon. He had plenty of time to figure out how to counter them.
CosmicSentry
You're missing my whole point here. I have to leave for work now - but when I get back I'll explain.
Outkin
Then what would stop Ganon from supplying an army of his own with these? It just becomes an arms race...
CosmicSentry
Well it's pretty obvious the Sheikah are incredibly more advanced technologically. I don't see Ganon having the intellect to match them.
MarkerMage
Your scenario has 2 problems. 1. The guardians were ancient technology unearthed through excavation, not made by people still alive. (1/2)
MarkerMage
2. That furnace wasn't completed until after Ganon attacked. (2/2)
CosmicSentry
Yes, but my point was, if that one guy had the intelligence to do it himself; I'm sure the Sheikah would've been able to do it even better/
CosmicSentry
had they went down that route instead. Way back when they decided "let's build guardians" they could've instead usedthe materials for armour
MarkerMage
Why would you need the armor when you got the guardians on your side? You don't even have to train them. (1/2)
MarkerMage
Necessity is the mother of invention, and the armor only became necessary once the guardians fell under Ganon's control.
