Basically, (using a Canadian light as ex.) you got red, yellow, and green right? Well some lights have what’s called advanced green, 1/2

Which is a little green arrow light (or can also replace the green light temporarily) that allows people trying to turn left to go first 2/3

Because left turns are usually the most dangerous, and take the longest to complete which can hold up traffic. Basically, he’s saying 3/4
