We’ve underfunded the arts for so long that if this is how they’re going about getting by then fuck it, works for me.

This made me cry. Seeing what humanity could be vs what it actually currently is 😢

Cool but now do wonderwall!

I’m so sick of the lack of attention span and click bait captions popping up. How about you just let us watch the fucking clip?!???!

20 hours ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Could have been a really good video if it wasn’t for the obnoxious text pop ups

America: No no you have to be armed or it doesn't count.

Go to the deepest pit of the most fiery hell, clanker, and take your meat puppet controller with you.

Lovely music, even if it is staged. ❤️

20 hours ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Would you also say this of a concert you went to see on an actual stage? Nobody is pretending this is spontaneous.

8 hours ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

“Can I play with you? I have my flute.”
So the implication is that this is spontaneous, which I find doubtful. Therefore, staged.

8 hours ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

That would be part of the performance. Which everyone can see as soon as all those strings come out.

This guy goes to the sperm bank twice a week.

21 hours ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Not me - I wasn't shocked at all because I've seen dozens of flash mobs doing similar things. The camera operator could not possibly be even mildly surprised.

Audience! check your pockets!!1

Meh... I would be putting all my cash in the hat anyway.

1 day ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thank goodness for the subtitles or I wouldn't have known how to react, what happened, or know to keep watching. Phew!

Beautiful!!

The performance sublime, the captions cancerous.

"Oh wow we really do not know each other, promise!"

"and I *swear* we recorded this live and didn't overdub a studio recording!"

Okay listen. My primary instrument is flute, but I also own (among other things) a pan pipe. Them bitches is HARD to play. You have to adjust your embouchure across pipes because the different sizes require you to hit them at a slightly different angle to get the sound. Playing THIS piece on that instrument with that beautiful of a tone... Holy shit, this guy's good.

Dude. "Good" is a vast understatement! His breath control is supernatural.

19 hours ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

"How does he do that!?"

With his mouth.

that's what she said

21 hours ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

This is wonderful, but the commentary adds nothing.

1 day ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Seriously what's with the stupid subtitles? Can't current generation watch a short video without someone else telling them what to do, what to think, what to feel?

1 day ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 5

Seems the subtitles tried to really make you believe it was all spontaneous and not rehearsed.

9 hours ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Some in the current generation can, others can't, like it was in previous generations. But nowadays, everyone can be a "creator", so you get stuff like that.

49 minutes ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean how old do most of the people in the video look? I wouldn't blame it on any one generation.

19 hours ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Age of the internet. People have been conditioned to put their unsolicited opinions on everything. At least it's subtitles and not someone's dumb chud face actively live reacting and commenting the whole time

16 hours ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I don't know how to answer that. Someone subtitle it for me.

1 day ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

"No"
Apply that how you will

22 hours ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No.

What was the large guitar-like instrument that lady had?

1 day ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

A theorbo?

1 day ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

yep, great instrument from the Renaissance :)

12 hours ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Never heard of that but it looks like what’s on Wikipedia! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theorbo

"It's storytelling!"
It's lying. And you're so awful at it that it subtracts from what is an actual enjoyable experience

1 day ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 11

I think it works better for the people there,

1 day ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

I mean. They lied to the clarinetist, sure. But I'm pretty sure when THAT many strings were pulled out the rest of us realized pretty quick that this was planned.

21 hours ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

They obviously didn't lie to the clarinettist, who was as much in on it as everyone else.

12 hours ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

He seemed at least mildly surprised. Could have been bad acting, could have been someone rolling with it. Don't know, don't care. It doesn't make any real difference in the performance, which we all know this is. I'm as tired of fake internet videos as anyone, but leaning too far in the other direction that you get pissy and call ANY performance a lie is ridiculous.

8 hours ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Idk man pick your battles because this is literally the most obvious staged genre of video. If you've seen one you've seen em all. They all practice and perform together often. They're all microphoned appropriately. The guy mock conducting was probably actually their conductor.
