The depth of it is absolutely baffling. The number of things they took into consideration and have scripted and recorded scenes to cover is so large that there are still apparently scenes that haven't been triggered even as more hours are poured into the game than some entire industries.

If you like turn-based roleplaying games with intricate stories, deep characters, lots of creative problem-solving, and actually meaningful choices, it's the best that came out in a long while. And I doubt it'll be surpassed anytime soon.

There are five difficulties: explorer (easy), balanced, tactician (hard), honour mode (extra hard), and custom (combine whatever elements you like from the previous four). Higher difficulties don't just make the enemies harder to kill, but also give them new maneuvers and tactics.

Yeah, that was pretty good too. It's important to understand though, BG3 is a WRPG, so it tried to mimic D&D-style pen&paper roleplaying with making your own characters and choices. Meanwhile Ex33 is a JRPG, which means the role-playing part is mostly about setting combat roles and increasing stats, while following pre-written characters through a relatively rigid story.
Nothing bad about either kind, it just helps to understand this when you're picking the right game for yourself.

Oh, for sure. As an avid DnD player, BG3 scratches that itch when my regular group isn't in a campaign while also being a fantastic game, but purely speaking on well-made and outstanding games that have come out in recent years, Ex33 is a breath of fresh air. Its been a while since I was actively exited to play a game.
