Yeah but lots of LED bulbs flicker b/c of the 60HZ AC in the US and 50HZ in the UK. Meaning even if you record at 50/60FPS, you get 1/2

CFL lightbulbs are kinda crap, but it may be cheaper to just let the old ones break first.

LED only recently went down in price here, and only even more recently became any better in light quality, so plenty of CFL in the house

I'm stuck with "specialty lighting". Can't buy the bulbs in store and have to purchase them from the landlord. I miss cheap CFL bulbs.

They're energy efficient, but not as good as LED. Also they have a warm up time. When turned on, they won't be at full for a few minutes

I replaced all my CFLs with LEDs after my kid broke one. God, that was a fucky mess. I gave the partly-used CFLs to the thrift shop.

They seemed really happy about it, as the thrift shop sells lots of lamps, and this very nice guy with Down's went and installed them.

So now the thrift shop lamps will be sold with a free bulb, which will probably save some older or poor person a trip sometime.
