Do stay safe...

As we approach the new year, we are at our most vulnerable point against our own worst enemy; ourselves. I know that a lot of you will be partying, drinking, and making new years snu snu, but I urge everyone to stay safe. If you are drinking, please don't drive. Call a cab, most cities have subsidized transportation tonight, so it will be piss cheap. Put it on your speed dial and set an alarm to remind you. If you think that there is even a remote possibility of hooking up, carry like 3 condoms just in case. Ladies, I know that it isn't generally your responsibility, but you should probably do the same too. Also, look after one another, because...you know...some people are asshats and prey on others; i.e. robbery, theft, rape, etc.

Also, I know a lot of you will not be celebrating due to your own struggles. Please, I can not know your struggle, but consider the future that you can not see. Paint your portraits with spite, build your towers as a monument to everything and everyone that told you you couldn't.

I know to you all I am just a name with some garbage post on a website, but I do not want anyone to be put in a bad place or to lose a loved one/friend. If this post reminds keeps one person from being placed in harms way, one person from making a life altering choice on a whim, or even reminds one person that they are stronger than the demons that screw with them on a daily basis, then it is worth it.
