Garage Golf Course

Neighbor gave me a putting green he won in a drawing

It had been sitting for years and had wrinkles. Thought about installing it in the backyard but didn't want to shell out $2K and then have to weed eat around it. Decided to try and install it in the garage. My son really enjoys golf and would like to compete in the "Drive, Chip, and putt" challenge. The putting has always been a problem.

Bought some fringe/turf from the local turf shop

for a scrap piece, it runs about $100; good stuff though. Great for chipping off of.

Cut up the finge into 6"x12" sections

Spent some time deciding on the exact layout. I want to be able to drive my truck on this incase of bad weather.

Deciding on cup placement

Rented a Core Drill from Hope Depot for $70

Cut two 5" holes

Filled them in with mortar

degreased cement

Drew lines for glue placement

all prepped and ready for install

used a chisel for removing old cement

carpet to floor adhesive

placing out the glue

using a grass roller

rolling out the wrinkles

decided to put corners on the edge for a cleaner look

Next, cut out the cups

You can actually hit/chip right off the turf; this stuff is durable
