Picked up a RPR this past fall and added a Steiner T5Xi. I own a few long range rifles, this guy, for the price is pound for pound just as good as any I've owned or shot.

Its a pretty american hobby to collect weapons i guess. But what do u like about it?

This is the next item on my wishlist. Definitely going with 6.5, probably black. The only decision left to make is optics. Any suggestions?

I've been wanting a rifle in creedmoor for a few years now! I'm so envious!

Beautiful weapon! I love the 6.5 creedmoor and I have heard great things about the Ruger. Do you handload for it?

Does this count as Fetish friday? I like this Fetish...

Beautiful.

6.5 comparison to a 5.56.

Does it hurt a lot?

About the same as a 308, but it's faster

Thanks. I've heard good things about the rifle and the caliber. :)

Ruger is coming out with a 6mm creedmoor now too. That ammo is going to be a bitch to find. 6.5 Hornady is what I'm shooting, expensive.

That's the complaint I've heard against 6.5 Creedmoor.

I'm a Gun Tech part time for a major outdoor retailer and we carry 2-3 different boxes of 6.5. I shoot Hornady Match

How much does a setup like this typically run, including the optics?

Serious question: What do you do with something like that? I assume you go to a range somewhere - can't shoot it in your backyard.

Defend your house from burglars, before they even manage to glance towards your yard.

But I assume you need range with a lot of distance to be able to do it justice. Are their many such places available?

I have friends who have a 1000 yard range set up on their property. But yeah, normally around here, 300 yards is max at a range.

How do you like the 6.5 round?

It's capabale of hitting targets at 1 mile, I'm not anywhere close yet, but the challenge is great. This is my 1st 6.5, but it's good.

Benefits of the 6.5 vs 7.62?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's a flatter shooting round. More accurate.

Lighter grain bullet with more energy and velocity.

God I wish Ruger made a left handed version of that gun. Almost no love for the southpaw in the firearm world :(

Lefty here. I actually like shooting a right handed rifle. It's easier to see in the chamber and if you practice you can be just as fast

I'm right there with ya. I bought a Savage. 300 Win Mag strictly because it was a left handed model.

I have a savage .300 win mag as well. I do like me some savage rifles

Why don't you just stop being a little bitch about it. There's children in Africa that don't even have a Ruger precision rifle.

True. They have to make due with G3s and AK47s.
