Did I make this post?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Weight watchers. Not even kidding. It basically gamifies eating.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've been on it two months and already lost ~25 lbs.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ass so phat it can swallow up a g-string and up top two bee stings

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Op made the fatal mistake of mentioning their butt. May your inbox Rest In Peace

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

No one has messaged me yet haha.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Construction back to college student. 30,000+ steps a day (raking/shoveling/etc) to less than 5,000 walking between classes. SEND HELP

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yup, I used to work on my feet and switching to a desk job with constant snacks I gained 15lbs.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

@op mo' money mo' problems.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I got 99 problems but food ain't one.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sort it now, as time goes on it's impossible to get rid of, you get complacent. I've been through this on 3 diff occasions, now on the 1.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2/ perm mode as I'm half a cripple and can't work it off ha

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I put on 25 pounds in a year when I got out behind a desk, stress and ease of junk food.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

This makes me feel a little less guilty that I'm not the only one.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Try getting a job where you are flying all over the country and have a generous expense account. It's great until you put on 30 pounds

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

haha, you're not alone. When I was young and started, they all told me, You're not going to be keep eating like that now.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My co-workers are the opposite they are always making food runs asking what i want.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

well for a bit when I first started, as the young guy, they would order food, hand me their CC and give me the "I'll buy if you fly" for <

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

>a while, but then everyone kind of said the same.. .we all need to slow down a bit on the food ordering.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Actual advice. Desk raiser so you can stand and sit. If they let you, get a desk treadmill/bike and watch what you eat.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Worked at place with 2 cooks and you ordered food on computers. Steak and eggs ,toast, hash browns, and it was 4.95, came off pay pre-tax.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sounds delicious! And like a bad habit hehe.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It was , one guy said he gained 20lbs the first month. All the food was good .

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same thing happened to me, @OP. You're not alone.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

:)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Another ex-barista here with the same problem. You'd think you'd LOSE weight from not eating pastries/drinking lattes all the time, but no..

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What worst is you still have those craving for sweet :C

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Me too. Except for that well paying job part.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Hang in there! I never thought I would have a nice outfit going to work someday but here I am!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You should really want a carpentry job, or welding. You get lots of money and exercise.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Desk jobs require a gym regimen. Source: Working IT for the last 10yrs

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We just need to make sure it's not rocking everywhere. If so, you've got a serious medical issue and need to see your doctor about it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

that's something you can change if you want :)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'll put more effort into being healthy.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We all go through that when we get the desk job. 30 years later I'm still trying to lose that weight.

9 years ago | Likes 136 Dislikes 2

I went from outdoor instructor to corporate learning and development. Cut my diet so much but weight is still such a struggle

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It's a struggle. I've gone from a pretty physical job, to a desk job in the last 9 months and have put on 10kg. Dieting sucks but I have too

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I feel like this added weight is my default weight now, it really sucks :(

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

After getting a desk job, I have now much more energy after work to hit the gym. I'm in better shape than when I was walking at work all day

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I got hit hard... I have a stay at home desk job. I don't even need to go outside.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When I worked a desk job I made sure to keep making time to work out at least 30 mins a day. Most of what you need to do is calorie count.

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Energy in energy out. As simple as that

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

That is true for any job really. I have a physically demanding job, yet I got fat. Despite burning a lot of calories, I managed to eat more.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Now I eat low carb and way less than I used to. Dropped 11kg, feelin' a lot better all around.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I got a desk job and lost 14kg. Regular schedule instead of travelling means time for exercise and control over the diet.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Stop driving/drive less, start walking, do sports, less shit food, no beer, no bread.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ive never had a desk job. I wonder what it's like

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Imagine being told as an active dog to stay in your cage. That's a desk job.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Same. I feel like it would be less strain on your body but boring as fuck.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

It's bad for your hips to sit that much and god help you if you sit with bad posture.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Boring? I spend 5 out of 8 hours on YouTube and imgur :) and the other 3 pooping.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you ever do, make sure you stand up, walk around, and look at things that are far away for a few minutes every hour. Or else bifocals.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Really depends on the job.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yeah i understand it varies, some of my friends snapchats just make it look like they fuck around all day and dont do shit

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It might not be the job that's the problem; it might be the employees.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I've been working at a desk for five years now (and more hours than usual bc self employed) and my legs want me to kill them already.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

have you considered investing in a standing desk? like the one you can move up like a lift to stand/sit? their usally expensive, but worthit

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah, thought about it. Will move my office in a few months anyway, then I'll think about a more clever setup. Thanks!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also a good chair would help too

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'd like to see the ass in question

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

This happened to me also. ~140 lbs my whole life. Desk job. Suddenly 220 lbs. (Well, after a year). Now 200-190 and still working on it. :(

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

My advice: start losing it asap before it becomes "normal." You'll have a TON more natural motivation.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

At least you can afford take out now

9 years ago | Likes 65 Dislikes 0

Omg The struggle is real i used to eat leftovers from closing the store to have enough for bills.

9 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 1

I miss restaurant work for this very reason!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Plus to get to eat all the best stuff!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh my god- I lost weight and had the best cooks plus healthy veggies at my disposal. I can see where poor=fat. A red pepper costs $3
