Edit 1: Thanks for my first FP (I think that’s the correct term?)

Edit 2: History in Pics Part 2 ? https://imgur.com/gallery/PE02rkq

It's sad Kurt and Tupac both got shot, still feels unreal.

Seeing a "history" collection with 1910 gardens and 1996 "Internet" is ... well ... I wrote my first webpage in 1994. #ancienthistory

What a wild ride smoking cigarretes has been.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Tupac pictures are fakes.

I think it's hilarious that 3 dorky Jews from new York were able to crush the rap game

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

With one of them having a crooner for a dad. Ok, a SUPER FAMOUS one, but not lending those little mensches any cred.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Wow... Abe Lincoln's instagram is lit!!!

#4 RIP Adam “MCA” Yauch

The cocaine for a cold reminds me of the crack episode of American Dad. They say everything is cyclical....

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Note to self: stay away from Tupac.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

For automatic baby front flip into windshield, tap brake.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Skeptical about Tupac & Irwin, if anyone can confirm it? Just bc that's an older lookin Steve & not his early 90's hair.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fred Astaire did the moonwalk long before MJ was born too. Now I know how MJ choreographed his dances. Copied the old movies.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Isn't it this the History Pics that have posted countless fake images?

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Yeah, everyone knows Tupac didn't really hang out with Kurt Cobain or Steve Irwin.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't know, but Tupac doesn't look like he was originally in that pic with Kurt Kobain. The shadow on the side of his face or something.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#2 Actually, he's buying them from a nurse.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

'I think that’s the correct term?' Usually you ask people to send nudes, and they literally never do

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My untrammeled memory informs me that only old people were still using America Online in 1996. Change my mind

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Netscape went public in 1995. First browser, anything good was hard to find. Mostly crap. So really, things haven’t changed much.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I imagine I still have an AOL account. Why? Because the method to cancel your AOL account required a written letter ON PAPER and mailed.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My problem is with referring to AOL as "the internet" like people didn't have other options.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dammit I was gonna say that lol!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Tupac and Steve is now my favorite picture of ALL TIME

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Kurt's face when meeting Tupac vs. Tupac's face when meeting Steve

8 years ago | Likes 167 Dislikes 3

The Tupac pics are fake.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I bet Steve's energy just kinda brought that out of people.

8 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 0

Kurt's lack of energy probably did the opposite I'm assuming.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 5

"Crikey! You're Tupac! Excellent!" "Man, you know who I am? You're Steve Irwin?!?!?!? I need a picture." - how I imagine that meeting going.

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Sorry to ruin it but Kurt and Tupac never took a photo together, if they even met.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

::shrug::

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah the bassist from nirvana actually confirmed this pic is fake. There’s another one of him and biggie that’s also fake.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Highly unlikely they did. Tupac didn't really get big enough to have been rubbing elbows with Kurt until around/after his death.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Apparently there is a legit photo with Kurt and Biggie and Tupac was cropped out.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a fake too, the cropped out "Tupac" is Pat Smear.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lol. Oh, Krist. One of the best senses of humour ever

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ah, the past. Where if the consumption didn't kill you, the cocaine did.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

1996 Internet was the version of the Internet where seat belts hadn't been invented yet.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wow... Tupac got around.

8 years ago | Likes 1439 Dislikes 3

He was a celebrity

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

And here's Tupac and Miley cyrus, and... Tupac and Trump, but Trump is in his presidental suit... Tupac and My mom!?

Heroin was also a really popular cough medicin until 1950s. Cheap and effective.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Rub some bacon on it.

One of my all-time favorite posts.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Your nose can only run if you don't dry it out with some white powder!

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Disclaimer: I've never done cocaine with a runny nose.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have. Totally works. Speed is better. Kills a cold in it's tracks x x x

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ghosts in your blood? Better do cocaine about it.

8 years ago | Likes 123 Dislikes 2

I laugh every time I think of this, no matter where I am. Old school doctor: yeah you got ghosts in your blood. Do some cocaine.

8 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

It seems like before the 90s, childcare policy was just to hope for the best

8 years ago | Likes 287 Dislikes 0

Before the 90's the policy was to cull the weak children before the parents got attached.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

This was why we had larger families. It was merely a matter of attrition.

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

All the stupid ones died off. Today they're all helped and encouraged.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

My experience of growing up in the late 70s early 80s, we could stand up in the seat as long as we didn't block the vision of the driver.

8 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 1

yes, and my dad loved to do a "break check" to make sure my ass was in a seat when we rolled... he still laughs about it 40 years later...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In the older cars, we'd lay across the deck behind the backseat, along the rear window. If we'd ever gotten in an accident, we'd have flown

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

We had Station Wagon back when I was growing up. (Think Family Truckster from National Lampoon's Vacation) If the back wasn't full,

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You could pretty much camp out back there :)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My brother and I used to fight over who got to lay there. And I don't think my father's shitty old Cutlass even had seatbelts in the back.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Seatbelts weren't required in the US until 1968. Wisconsin started requiring them in 1964 so I don't know if they modified for WI or what.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

And Mom's arm was an automatic seat belt system.

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

even the early 90's was pretty laissez faire. It was more towards the late 90's/00's that helicopter parenting became the norm.

8 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 6

Not knocking you personally but keep an eye on that "parenting got awful immediately after I grew up" bias.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

speaking of bias, assuming my age and inferring that helicopter parenting is awful isn't exactly ideal either lol.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Im not sure proper car seats count as helicopter parenting.

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

and I'm not sure why you think that's what I'm talking about lol.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Learned that the term "helicopter parenting" refers to not having your child on a swing affixed to the passenger seat of a car.

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

That 'baby seat' should really be called a 'baby launcher'

8 years ago | Likes 734 Dislikes 1

Meh cars back then were only 10% faster than a dude jogging lightly

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 20

Baby launcher would be a good silly euphemism for a penis. “Imma smack your ass with my baby launcher.”

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Right? Hit the brakes and the baby goes flying!

8 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

Makes it so the kid can clear the dashboard and be thrown clear, obviously.

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Back then kids weren’t too good to go through the windshield with the rest of the family - Jeff foxoworthy

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Babies don't have enough mass to bust through windshield, sadly.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Sadly

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

depends on how fast you are going. also remember those cars didn't have safety glass

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mass increase with speed, so at some point the baby will go through. I just don't know how damn fast that'll have to be.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Force of the mass increases with speed.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

MOMENTUM is proportional to speed. FORCE is proportional to acceleration.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Maybe, but my grandfather and great uncles all passed away without ever having a single car accident.
