Unpopular opinion - but getting the poor guy on national television after he'd kept himself in the background for decades ... not so sure that's a good idea. As an introvert, I'd be running for the exit when the first camera pointed at me.
I'm a 50 year old Swiss. I recently found out that my grand aunt and her friends drove their private cars to the german border on multiple occasions and smuggled jews out of Germany into Switzerland during WWII. They kept it such a good secret. Nobody could know..they would have gone to jail if authorities found out even during the 90's still! By now the law changed and mother came finally clear about it all since she's getting old and is the only one left (and her sister) who knew.
When actor David Suchet (Poirot) did Who Do You Think You Are his family came from Poland IIRC. They traced his family and a great grandfather suddenly had Turkish citizenship. Turned out a Turkish diplomat was handing out Turkish passports to Jewish people to let them escape. There was a Japanese diplomat who did the same even though his country was technically on the same side in WWII.
I saw the movie about this and cried thinking the same thing.
My son is outside playing with his friends with no idea what it's like to be afraid, while across the ocean another little boy his same age has already lived more than his fair share of life. Breaks your heart
Answer: evil, vile people with no morals, compassion, ethics, empathy who are doing what was done to them. They are no different than nazis. Their leader is Hitler. I know I’ll be downvoted, but the parallels are there. And the US supports this, we are just as bad.
Hopefully there is, they're just really really good at the second part. Not just Palestine either, Ukraine, Yemen, anywhere else I'm not educated enough to know about yet.

I recently watched Schindler's list. Schindler has been declared a hero for saving many Jews. I feel it was a much more of a grey area.. I don't know if he really cared to save lives as much as profit off their nearly free labor.
It wasn't nearly free. He paid massive bribes to keep the Nazis from deporting his workers to the camps. He spent massive amounts on building facilities to care for them. When the Nazis demanded all be in camps, he built his own 'camp' at his expense on site to house his workers. He repeatedly risked his own life to protect them, and to provide statements on the treatment of Jews within Nazi occupied areas to outside sources. He had many serious character flaws, but he did care for their lives.
