Looks like my Finn. Sadly, we had to put him down two weeks ago. He was a very sweet boy and also a rescue. Irish Wolfhound and Black Lab. Thanks for giving Osiris a good home. Please give him some scritches for us.

He's gotten so comfortable so quickly that I don't want to think about him having been abandoned, so I will just say thank you for being kind, @op! Old puppers are the sweetest. I would recommend pet insurance, Was worth it for me to never have to weigh finances as a factor in decisions at the vet.

He has already been added. I keep all my significant others pets on it as well so we have 4 dogs, 1 cat and 1 lizard on the plan now 😅

I do live in a town of 12k but lots of the people here don't like change/different stuff. We have a huge stray animal problem as well, I'd guess lots of the animals are given as pets and then kicked once they realize they have to train them or the dogs just get out. It's sad :(

Not looking for any praise, he deserved a family and a home. Also when I adopted him the shelter said 2 years old but the vet said 8-10 years old 😅 still 100% worth it

Vet told us our dog was probably 6. That was 14 years ago and he is still here causing mischief. Your dog is super cute!

Usually it's a guess between 2 years and 7 years when they start getting grey around muzzle or eye changes. Shelter went on young side because so many people don't adopt old pets

Black dogs show a grey muzzle earlier than other colors but still, he's older than 2.
