Would get as a tattoo, and I say that to few roses

I'd compromise at 3/5

Well done :) imho work on increasing realism. Study arrows, roses etc & reproduce them to the best of your ability, lest our eyes complain ^^

Don't have people evaluate your work. You had an experience and grew from making it. Now you're a better artist and person.

Well done.Stylish to a degree. But the subject matter & medium are wanting. If art is your calling, then you need more weapons in the arsenal

Gorgeous! Maybe less dark tones and more of a middle tone, but it's still fab. And great if your going for darker too.

And I have to agree that the arrowhead does look a bit funky. But if you used a specific reference, then keep it as is.

Do you have a more clear scan? It looks great and honestly would make a pretty bitchin tattoo

I agree. It's a nice, clean, reasonably simple concept that can be executed in a few different ways to make a neat tattoo :)

Sorry but i don't have a very good camera or scanner. And the idea of someone using something i made as a tattoo is really cool..

Pretty awesome. I like the style. Made me think of the art from old fighting fantasy books.

Your composition/design layout is kinda funny. Try more range in values. Good contrast. It's a close up pick-make up work from distance.

*-look at work from a distance

If adding an element which is known to be straight eg the arrow, using a ruler to give a centreline would help maintain positioning

I used a ruler, but i see didn't went well

Love the design though!

If Poison taught me anything, it's that every rose has its thorn.

Arrowhead is off center, they don't touch at the point, but are embedded in a split in the shaft 1/2

Also, the fletching (feathers) are short, try drawing a feather or similar. Overall, good start, hope I helped

It really helped, thanks! :DD

Overall it looks really nice! I think just the arrow alignment needs to be tweaked a smidge and the arrowhead itself looks off to me.

A rose that's been shot wouldn't be that perfect, show a bit of distress in the petals to add that extra touch of realism, roses also 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

have more petals than that, make sure you're drawing what you see & not what you think you see. Hope that makes sense :)
