Smarties
The original Smarties candy actually contained trace amounts of LSD, Molly, and other drugs, considered to be "recreational" today. Since 1997, the makers, along with the FDA began cracking down on the manufacturing process in order to ensure that the pill sized candies contain no harsh drugs.
Ruffles Chips
The actual difference between a Ruffle chip and a regular potato chip is that during the cooking process, the chips are introduced to a large amount of sound waves that create the "Cesar R. Toblin Effect." This is generally the shape you see above. They are then fried and bagged.
Cheetos
So, this one you may already know; these cheesy morsels are actually originally made from baby carrots that are genetically tainted. They are missing a particular gene which makes them look all blotty and uneven. Fritio then takes the mutant carrots and dehydrates them coats them in cheesy dust and sends them your way in stores and vending machines all over the world.
Bacon
Did you know that you can actually extract the bacon from a swine without killing it? - In 2015, nutritional scientists performed the world's first Lipotransfrontal Bygraft. Where the portion of the fatty tissue of test animals was cut from the pig, and the swine was sewn up and continued living. The meat was cooked and served and thus - we can make infinite bacon!
The McRib
The limited-time sandwich is actually the result of a phenomenon in certain cows that are born without bones. McDonald's capitalizes on this each year by taking the mushy mammals and carving these ridged patties of pleasure out of the side of the cow.
The Bloomin' OnionSo, this one you may already know; these cheesy morsels are actually originally made from baby carrots that ar
Ok, now you may know this as the "staple" Outback Steakhouse, but did you know that this dish was actually served at the last supper (of President George W. Bush's) Presidency. He ordered this as a send-off of a Bushman tribe leader meeting at the White House in 2008.
Swiss Cheese
This cheese dates back to WWII and pre-1935, when King Chandler Haasenfrut IV began storing the countries finest blocks and rolls in bunkers, government offices and in armories. Though rumored to have the "holes" because of a bacteria, most of the cheese has suffered atleast some damage from stray bullets during the war, giving it the texture.
Popcorn
Take one bowl of popped popcorn in a bowl. seal the bowl with aluminum foil and place into a freezer overnight. In the morning, the popped kernals will return to their original size and state. You can do this over and over several times.
Pre-sliced bread.
Most people would assume that a loaf of pre-sliced basic bread was once a larger loaf that they just cut, following the baking process, however, this would be extremely costly and require very sharp knives/equipment. In reality, each slice is baked individually, and factory workers align pieces that fit well together along an assembly line - making it seem "pre-sliced."
Red Licorice
In order to make kobe beef, you basically get a cow drunk, and do not allow it to much. The steaks are incredible, but this stringy treat is made from the intestines and large veins of a young calf who is only fed red colored Kool-Aid and marochino cherries.
Fish
Sure looks tasty, but in order to get the perfect size and flavor, these little guys are forced to live and grow underwater from birth. Once large enough, they can be caught and cooked, you can even eat them above water.
Cabbage
The cabbage was actually modeled to look alot like a brain, with the hopes that people would appreciate the texture and design. Some even call these "Einstein Salad Balls" in parts of lower Washington DC.

Bonus fact! Smarties suck so you still have a 1/3 chance of finding the "original recipe" on the shelves. Good luck kids!

Are you saying that all of my pre-1997 Smarties had LSD in them? That's why my childhood was so great. Now look at me...

Homosexusaurus
T bone steak is actually from the tail section of a Tyrannosaurus rex (T. rex). The steak was given the name by Abraham Lincoln in 2003.
