In my industry we typically do 3-4 weeks on then a week off.

Cool so 168hrs in a week - 100hrs at work - 28hrs commuting (2hrs each way) - 35hrs sleeping (5hrs a night) = 0.71hrs to spare

I used to work 240-260 hours a month for nearly two years. Never got burnt out, always had time to socialize w/friends. Just depends on you.
